On the first day, “Hi Nanna” began on a dull note in Telugu states. The film w as released on Thursday rather than Friday as is customary. It took a low opening on the first day. However, the turnaround occurred on Friday evening, and the momentum accelerated from there.
Superb in US, average on the domestic front
The collections of “Hi Nanna” on Saturday and Sunday were quite impressive, with multiplexes across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana reporting housefull shows. The film did extremely well in the United States. The first weekend grossed a whopping $1.1 million.
Overall, the first weekend results for “Hi Nanna” are mixed, with the US registering massive numbers and the domestic market showing average numbers. But the worldwide gross is huge: About Rs 40 crore.

Fails to fly
The entertainment was the trump card for Nithiin and Sreeleela’s “Extra Ordinary Man.” However, the comedy became routinue after a while. It’s no surprise that the film didn’t take off after the first day. This is another setback for Nithiin, despite the fact that he worked hard and aggressively to promote the film. Sreeleela’s glam factor didn’t help either.
Animal is strong
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s “Animal” had another successful weekend in Hyderabad and other cities. The film was a huge success in Telugu states. Both the Telugu and Hindi versions posted big numbers in Hyderabad.
