Ashok,
Your analysis seem to be wrong to me, if you completely bring down the movies to DVD and TV channels then you are ignoring the whole point of "MOVIE GOING" which is the best relax for most of the people in India. A rikshaw puller goes to movie to watch his hero dance, say powerful dialogs and release all this pain/hardwork by shouting and screaming in the theatres along with the co-viewers, which is not possible when you watch the same in a TV channel. Also dont forget that a poor man cannot afford a quality TV to experiance the visuals and stuff in big way. Also I would imagine that employment loss will be in lakhs. Your point is good but may be your solution is wrong. I would rather concentrate on ticket prices.

hi,
u r way of thinking is not bad, but we should consider ASHOK point also... as a customer of the movie i would like to agree with u, Mr. Ashok Riksha pullor also unnecessarily losing HARDWORK money in theatres like CoolDrinks/black tickets/snacks etc., first film chamber has to think abt this, then everybody wish to go and enhoy theatres with co-viewers... unless untill we need to fight for it, but dont down the industry to ground level...
thank u

Hi ashok,

First things first...If u r a small film maker then u dont mind it to sell it to any tv channel...and if ur big a filmmaker ...say like if u've made a sivaji..or..a dasavatharam...will u accept for selling it to tv channels on the day one???..ok even if u sell it...how can people accept it by watching their fav. mass heroes calmly by sitting before idiot box...see movie is not only about enjoying the story and narration...but also enjoying the visual treat and grandeur it provides and thats why people dont mind for all the voes that u explained to watch a movie...in india if people die for cinema...then u can imagine the height it has escalated in the hearts of people...and u cant bring down it from such a height to a mere drawing room's little screen..
