| Srija with her hubby Sirish Bharadwaj in New Delhi |
One marriage that has been in news a lot AFTER it's over... Srija and Sirish entered a wedlock about ten days back and it's still finding updated information each day! Unfortunate is the situation that the famous screen idol for many Telugus, and non-Telugus too, Chiranjeevi and his family being in news for wrong and unnecessary reasons. Should one marriage make so many waves really? Is media blowing the situation out of proportion? A free-for-all royal-rumble blame game is going on all over the place - various media takes sides like they want and blame who they want, Srija blames her family, Sirish blames those threatening him, Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind throw blame into the air vaguely not knowing what to say or who to point, Pawan Kalyan puts blame on himself and surrenders his revolver, ...what not!
On the other hand, Srija seems to be taking a lot of blame, partially for right reasons that she's dragging the celebrity into news for invalid reasons and excessively too. The media is being blamed for giving so much of coverage - even BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu says the same! ...Chiranjeevi is seemingly invited into the fore and he apparently is considering the same too. Thus, political backing to Srija is a possible case of suspicion. Or, how can one explain the expensive advocate Pinky Anand taking up the case, without even Sirish's dad's help/contacts like the newly wed couple say? Or, how can one be paying bills for all these days?
While these questions are still unanswered, let's observe Srija's standpoint here: She has taken a bold step to go out of "home" to marry a guy of her choice, a guy in who she has so much of confidence that she can go against her celebrity family's wishes, direct on live media. She now utters an apology "if" she hurt her family members. She talks about her dad, and doesn't talk much about anyone else. What's surprising is her not mentioning her mom even once! Girls are generally close to their mothers... now, what happened here?!
A pampered child, like she agrees too, she should have enjoyed a lot of freedom in her childhood, and even a little restriction might have felt as a lot of it, so much to break out of the house! One can see her as being immature in her expecting her family to arrange a grand welcome to her after all this, forgetting everything, while she still continues to throw blame on them. Is she really immature here, just that? ...Maybe not! Coming from a family of four heroes and two producers and a director, she is literally brought up in the film world! The film world apparently has so many stable, unstable, temporary, and need-based relationships, and the stories of youth-oriented films are so very dramatized and "heroically blown up" to emphasize the power of love.
No wonder she was drawn to such measure as this marriage too casually, like she can go to an aunt's house ...to the media exposure as naturally, like she can face the camera and speak anything ...to the expectation that her family can simply reconcile so much that she can keep blaming them but they'll come forward to welcome her grandly! Who's to blame? Movies? Society? The immature thinking of a celebrity's child who didn't see much of the outside world like most of us?

Now, for Chiranjeevi's standpoint: Empathy certainly is going to him, very aptly too. He's the father of a daughter now, not a megastar, when he speaks so emotionally that he wants his daughter back! Every human being out there can understand the love, care, and concern he has for his daughter. Obviously, when a 19-year old daughter says that she's been in love for four years, not many parents will first relish the idea, and that's probably what Chiranjeevi did too. He's not wrong here, indeed! When she started out of home and suddenly appeared on Tv with her "husband", how much pained would his heart have been?!
He pampered the child so much that even in the midst of such a blame, she still says her husband will be like her dad too, taking her wherever she'd want - when asked if she thinks Sirish would be a good husband - this only means that a caring personality in her opinion should first fit this mould of her dad! Yet, she chose to leave home. Maybe she was actually house-arrested, but which celebrity dad would allow his daughter out freely when she says she wants to get married to a less-known, middle-class, outside-the-caste boy of 22 who's yet to settle in life!?
But, questions still linger on this side too - why, despite Srija's crib so many times, does he not call her directly or contact Sirish's parents like she demands? His advocate has an answer to this question, in fact - that he's hurt deeply by the ongoing proceedings to contact his daughter directly. Understandable, too!
Who's benefitting from this, I can't see! One thing is for sure... the young couple planned the marriage very meticulously, and also chalked out their plan for the next few days, and then... nothing! They didn't seem to know what exactly they can do right now! What can we do than wish that the media and the girl save the legendary megastar from more blame and pity!
