How Chittibabu clears his father's name with the help of Satyam (Satyanarayana), and what the story behind Satyam is the rest of the interesting story.
About the film:
The film is a good hit and ran for 100 days in three centers in Andhra Pradesh. Krishna was in the peak of his career at that time. He had 14 releases in 1979! His Mande Gundelu (October 05, 1979), Muttayiduva (October 12, 1979), Sankhuteertham (October 18, 1979), were released before Burripalem Bullodu released on November 16 the same year. In a way, there was competition among his own films that released in a short span. Mande Gundelu and Burripalem Bullodu were both big hits compared to other films and they both celebrated 100 days.
Songs like Burripalem bullivaaDini nEnE..., naa jeevana bRndaavani... and pantulU pantulU... were chartbusters at that time. Audience liked Krishna performing Kuchipudi-style dance steps in Burripalem bullivaaDini nEnE.... It's heard that the then-C.M. Marri Chennareddy was watching the movie in Sandhya 70 mm theater in Hyderabad, and requested that the song pantulU pantulU... be repeated.
