Very happy to see this retrospect. Though, am not a NTR fan, this remains one of my favourite movies and one of the films I remember very well right from my childhood (I was 7yr. old when this movie released). And I still remember the craze it created. I am very thankful to TC.com

A very very entertaining film. Everything fell in place - story, characters, music, photography & editing. According to me, this was THE best mass film of the great NTR garu. There was nothing cheap at all. Very elegantly portrayed. Thanks Sri....but I don't understand about the first scene. Isn't that were Jagga Rao is chasing Jayasudha's dad in a forest. How can that be filmed in Chennai ?? Enlighten me please.

congratulations telugu cinema.com.Adiviramudu is trend setter film for commercial films.K.raghavendarao became superstar director and jayasudha and jayapradha became super heroines.Adiviramudu is second life for N.T.R.This film made n.t.r superstar again AND RAGHAVENDARAO & N.T.R GOLDEN COMBINATION.FROM THIS FILM N.T.R RULED THE INDUSTRY TILL HE WENT TO POLITICS.I heard that he was given same remenuration as amitabh was given.Your articles regarding shiva, khaidi and adiviramudu film articles are excellent.Because these films are trendsetters.Expecting more film articles from you

Adavi ramudu is what Sholay is to Bollywood(infact some of the scenes were lifted from Sholay). Probably the best commercial Telugu entertainer of all times. You also can term it as the all time industry Hit considering the collections in 1977. Iam told this was the first time in film history that people threw ruprr coins on the screen for the Aresukoboyi song.although it is dubbed as a mass movie all classes of audience made it the biggest Hit of all times. Although Annagaru's action in all scenes was the major factor about 70% contribution to the huge success, jayaprada's glamour, songs, music, cinemascope, dialogues, comedy etc worked very well.

Thanks Sri.

hi sri, very good retro & i see very less retro's these days. Any specific reason for this. It would be a welcoming thing if it is a weekly or biweekly article. Once again thanks for a wonderful retro, waiting for many more & is there a archive of this, so that we can check the other retro's which we might have missed. thanks once & all.
