Anasuya traces down the Govind and when police corner him, he gets killed himself. Yet, the killings continue. Hasn't Govind really killed? What are the motives for killings? To know the answers, watch it out on the big screen.
Analysis
Anasuya is neatly packed decent thriller. Technically shot well, Anasuya provides enough chills and thrills that necessary for a thriller. Director Ravi Babu tries to stick to the genre, by not much deviating. So, like most of Hollywood movies, he packages well - with brilliant cinematography, excellent sounds, suspense element and fine performances. In fact, you can see influence of lot of Hollywood thrillers on the movie and on his taking style. Post the interval, the sequences defy the logic, but on the whole the film is a nice watch.
Ravi Babu has dubious distinction of incorporating 'awkward scenes and cheap comedy' (like in Ammayilu Abbayilu) but this time he stays away from it, thankfully. He should be commended for making a decent thriller.
The best part of the movie is its first half, which is quite interesting. Soon after that the pace goes down and it becomes predictable!
Performances
More than the actors' performance, it is the work of technicians that dominate the movie. Senior cameraman
Sudhakar Reddy who almost retired from films ( makes a comeback with a bang. He brings Hollywood style of camerawork. His work is topnotch. Added to that the tint in the climax is brilliant Re-recording by young composer
Sekhar Chandra is superb. Ravi Babu should be appreciated for making a good thriller. But he should have concentrated on the second half.
Of the lead cast,
Bhumika gives neat performance. Her characterization is realistic.
Abbas gives what his role demands.
Nikitha in her brief role is affable.
Ravi Babu as actor too excels. He looks evil. But his characterization lacks logic. Senior director Sharat as TV channel boss is okay. Rest of the cast are okay.
Bottom-line
Anasuya is decent and neatly packed thriller. It is aimed at urban audiences. Except some logic less sequences, it is a good time pass crime thriller.
