Many years after Arya won our admiration for his unique definition and understanding of love, he is back as a psychologically unsound character with his own dilemmas and quirky habits in life. With highs and lows of his character, Arya-2 (though not in any way a second edition of that mature predecessor) is, nevertheless, both interesting and sympathetic. Kudos to director Sukumar for penning a totally hatke character. Though comparisons with the first part are invariable as one watches the movie, especially because of the triangular element involved, it proves totally unwise to make such juxtaposition for two reasons - one Arya has a different personality here, and two, Sukumar does not centre his film on love but on the peculiar nature of his awesome protagonist.

Arya (Allu Arjun) is an orphan who is behaviourally sick in that he is consumed with possessiveness for his friend Ajay (Navadeep). Though the latter never accepts him, Arya still thinks Ajay is his everything in life. So, when some thugs scuffle with his beloved dost, he beats them black and blue. Arya insists that he lives with Ajay (they separated in childhood when the latter was adopted by a rich couple. Now he has grown into a software baron), and the latter reluctantly inducts him in his company. However, for Ajay, Arya is the biggest nuisance in his life; he short of consulting a psychologist to cope with or get rid of a sickly possessive friend. On his part, to score some brownie points with everyone, Arya has to pretend to be a Mr. Perfect.

The film is quite tortuous from here on. Allu Arjun has less words to speak, while Kajal tries to take the show froward on her puny shoulders all through the first half. Good amount of screen time is wasted in helping Geetha (Kajal Agarwal) prove Arya's true colours. Meanwhile, you have the soft lover boy Arya of the yore turn into 'Aparichitudu' emaciating Geetha's eve-teasers rather gorily (what is the need?). You will ask for a break from the nonsense.

The film is saved by an exciting second half. Though here too, as the theatre of action shifts to Kurnool from the swanky software streets, the film threatens to border on the illogical, it takes an upturn with interesting screenplay. Arya's nature may initially confuse you a bit, but it doesn't matter. We sympathise with the character when Geetha tells Ajay that both of them are his weakness (Arya mana madhyana naligipothunnadu).

Sukumar must be appreciated for bringing out as many humorous situations as possible when two male lovers and a female lover are on the trail, successfully in two films. He has a clear vision about Arya's character. The only problem is that we should not be tempted to make any correlation with the first version.

Arya-2's greatest asset is the riveting second half. It's biggest drawback is the slowness Arjun's character takes to grow on us. If it's intelligence and humour in the second half make it enjoyable, the drabness, tacky comedy (even Brahmanandam is a super-failure here) and excruciating scenes make it unwatchable in the first half. Performance-wise, full marks go to Arjun who gets into the skin of the character in the latter half of the film; his dance moves are incredible. Navadeep looks charming and puts up a good show as a frustrated friend. Kajal doesn't make an impact. Ajay as Subbu Reddy is good. He has a domineering presence and also good comic timing. Shraddha Das has no opportunity to to display her talent.

As already said, the film has too many flaws in the first half. Brahmanadam's (as Dasavatharam) comedy track is boring. In fact, at many points the film seems ridiculous. Thankfully, everything is undone by the second 80 minutes, which you will want to watch again and again.

Not sure why reviewers hate the movie, its not that bad as they describe. I liked it. Of all the confusion they are describing in the reviews the bottom line is very clear, the movie is about the friendship and love, which one takes precedence and any one tangled in such a situation moves back and forth to decide what to prefer. Its a wonderful entertainer, every screen is carefully though thru and well picturised.

He is the best dancer, if you go once to this movie you will go again for just dance part, I am dead serious. he is too good a dancer.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun already became a heartthrob to many of the young audiences with his six-pack body and with his stylish performance. Especially the film Arya under the direction of Sukumar earned him a star status among the young generation heroes. After a long gap, the same combination repeated and gossips made rounds that it would be a sequel to Arya and the media circulated the title as Arya-2. As it became popular among the fans and audiences, the unit had confirmed the same as the title, though it is neither a sequel to it nor all the artistes repeated in the cast. However, the names of characters continued in this flick too.

Arya (Allu Arjun) is an orphan who befriends Ajay (Navadeep). Arya is a very instinctive guy who takes tricky decisions in life. A millionaire adopts wants to adopt one of them. Arya wins the toss and sends Arya with them. The two grow up in different environment Ajay ignores Arya�s friendship. Ajay a software professional employs Arya. At this juncture Shanti (Kajal Agarwal) joins the company. Ajay loses his heart at the first sight and so does Ajay. Shanti learns about Arya as an innocent, she realizes that he was not such a soft person and is just acting. But nobody believes her.


Arya and Ajay both try ti impress her in their own way and Ajay enacts a drama and makes Arya unpopular. Shanti's father is making attempts to get her married to his rival�s son. On learning this, Arya goes to the village in Kurnool and plays another big drama and marries Shanti. But he calls Ajay and decides to unite them. He also makes arrangements to send them to the US. But Shanti�s father comes to know this and stops Ajay from leaving Kurnool. In order to get his friend Ajay, Arya takes the help of the rival factionists and somehow manages to take away Ajay and Shanti with him.

PLUS:
The major plus point in the film is the performance of Allu Arjun. His excellent dancing skills, perfect comedy timing, superb performance attracted the mass and young audiences and made the spell bound. All the other artistes including Navadeep, Kajal Agarwal, Shraddha Arya, Mukhesh Rushi, Sayaji Shinde also did complete justice to their roles. The director should be complimented for the excellent characterization of the hero, Allu Arjun, as the character runs in different shades with every-changing attitude. The movement of the character is beyond anybody�s imagination. Navadeep is okay in his role, while Kajal once again showed a nice performance. Another highlight of the film is the music by Devisri Prasad. The audio was a runaway hit and remained a chartbuster for a long time. The choreography of all the songs are really a feast to the eyes of audiences. Allu Arjun made several typical and diversified steps during all the songs. Action scenes by Ram and Lakshman are also good and stylish.

MINUS:
The director while concentrating more on the characterization of the hero ignored the length of the film and by the time he realized that it is prolonging, decided to wrap up the film in a huff-huff manner. As a result, the climax appeared to be too cinematic. In order to cover up the mess-up, the director chose to start the film with the climax scene and ended the film from the same point in the climax. But for the poor climax, the film is okay on all fronts. Another big draw back of the film is that Sukumar tried to downplay the factionalism and tried to evoke comedy from it. For hardcore fans of factionalism stories, the film appears to be truly cinematic.

ANALYSIS:
For those who go to watch Allu Arjun film with some expectations, the film would be a true feast. What all one could expect from Allu Arjun�s film could be available in this movie. With the excellent dances and melodious audio, the film would surely be a big hit. The film had all kinds of masala that is needed for a commercial formula film and it would definitely ring the box office and would remain another milestone in Allu Arjun�s career.

Many years after Arya won our admiration for his unique definition and understanding of love, he is back as a psychologically unsound character with his own dilemmas and quirky habits in life. With highs and lows of his character, Arya-2 (though not in any way a second edition of that mature predecessor) is, nevertheless, both interesting and sympathetic. Kudos to director Sukumar for penning a totally hatke character. Though comparisons with the first part are invariable as one watches the movie, especially because of the triangular element involved, it proves totally unwise to make such juxtaposition for two reasons - one Arya has a different personality here, and two, Sukumar does not centre his film on love but on the peculiar nature of his awesome protagonist.

Arya (Allu Arjun) is an orphan who is behaviourally sick in that he is consumed with possessiveness for his friend Ajay (Navadeep). Though the latter never accepts him, Arya still thinks Ajay is his everything in life. So, when some thugs scuffle with his beloved dost, he beats them black and blue. Arya insists that he lives with Ajay (they separated in childhood when the latter was adopted by a rich couple. Now he has grown into a software baron), and the latter reluctantly inducts him in his company. However, for Ajay, Arya is the biggest nuisance in his life; he short of consulting a psychologist to cope with or get rid of a sickly possessive friend. On his part, to score some brownie points with everyone, Arya has to pretend to be a Mr. Perfect.

The film is quite tortuous from here on. Allu Arjun has less words to speak, while Kajal tries to take the show froward on her puny shoulders all through the first half. Good amount of screen time is wasted in helping Geetha (Kajal Agarwal) prove Arya's true colours. Meanwhile, you have the soft lover boy Arya of the yore turn into 'Aparichitudu' emaciating Geetha's eve-teasers rather gorily (what is the need?). You will ask for a break from the nonsense.

The film is saved by an exciting second half. Though here too, as the theatre of action shifts to Kurnool from the swanky software streets, the film threatens to border on the illogical, it takes an upturn with interesting screenplay. Arya's nature may initially confuse you a bit, but it doesn't matter. We sympathise with the character when Geetha tells Ajay that both of them are his weakness (Arya mana madhyana naligipothunnadu).

Sukumar must be appreciated for bringing out as many humorous situations as possible when two male lovers and a female lover are on the trail, successfully in two films. He has a clear vision about Arya's character. The only problem is that we should not be tempted to make any correlation with the first version.

Arya-2's greatest asset is the riveting second half. It's biggest drawback is the slowness Arjun's character takes to grow on us. If it's intelligence and humour in the second half make it enjoyable, the drabness, tacky comedy (even Brahmanandam is a super-failure here) and excruciating scenes make it unwatchable in the first half. Performance-wise, full marks go to Arjun who gets into the skin of the character in the latter half of the film; his dance moves are incredible. Navadeep looks charming and puts up a good show as a frustrated friend. Kajal doesn't make an impact. Ajay as Subbu Reddy is good. He has a domineering presence and also good comic timing. Shraddha Das has no opportunity to to display her talent.

As already said, the film has too many flaws in the first half. Brahmanadam's (as Dasavatharam) comedy track is boring. In fact, at many points the film seems ridiculous. Thankfully, everything is undone by the second 80 minutes, which you will want to watch again and again.

Behind the Movie �Arya 2�: After the stupendous success of �Arya�, Allu Arjun and Sukumar�s combination was a discussed subject everywhere. The huge gap taken by these icons, Sukumar�s long gap after �Jagadam� and Allu Arjun�s huge gap after �Parugu� has made the expectations rise too high on this movie. Devisri Prasad�s music remaining the chartbuster along with beautiful Kajal, sexy Shraddha and handsome Navdeep becoming the added attractions for �Arya 2,� the movie has released today and was under the scanner by whole film fraternity.

In the Movie �Arya 2�: Ajay and Arya, the two orphans become the best friends in the orphanage home. The love and affection which Arya generates for Ajay was never reciprocated and Ajay always feel Arya as a headache. When a childless couple desires to adopt any one of these two, Arya sacrifices it for Ajay. Grownup Ajay (Navdeep) leaves out to become a software entrepreneur and MD of AJ Software. Unable to leave without his friend grownup Arya (Allu Arjun) follows Ajay, joins the company as a software engineer and their friendship still remains the same. Geetha (Kajal), the newly joined employee of the same company steal the hearts of both these friends at a time, while Shanthi (Shraddha Das) working in the same company tries to woo Arya. Arya with all his natural behavior try to impress Geetha but this was hated by her which in turn helps Ajay to get nearer to Geetha. At this point of time, when Arya gets ready to sacrifice his lover for his best friend, Geetha�s factionist father Raja Reddy (Mukesh Rishi) enters the scene and takes away Geetha to Kurnool for arranged marriage with Subba Reddy (Ajay), the son of one more factionist leader Kasi Reddy (Sayaji shinde). Arya makes his way to Kurnool for the sake of his best friend�s love and win the hearts of factionist leaders and Subba Reddy. Situations turn hostile for Raja Reddy and Arya will be made to marry Geetha in Kurnool in the absence of Ajay. With no love for Arya in her heart, Geetha wants to go back for Ajay and Arya helps in doing so. In this mean time, will Geetha find the true love in Arya? Will Ajay realize the true value of friendship? What happened to the lives of all three? Who married Geetha? form the rest of the story which is to be watched on silver screen.


Values of the Movie �Arya 2�: Sukumar, the talented director has once again picked the original flavor of �Arya� and joined an extra element of friendship to it. Story has nothing more innovative than Arya, but the narration was tight and entertaining. Script work for this kind of movie needs to be very gripping, as whole of the movie runs between only three main characters, while other characters just come and go supporting these characters in the main story. Sukumar�s direction looked perfect in parts, while this complex script work done by Chandrashekhar and his companion is the main asset of this Arya 2. Music by Devisri Prasad is spell bound. Photography by Rajashekhar is successful in binding the flavor of the movie together, while Marthand K Venkatesh has once again shown his caliber in crisp editing for this most complicated second half. Dialogues by Vema Reddy touched the hearts many a times.

Hero Allu Arjun looked stylish and apt for the role of Arya. Navdeep had a lengthy role to play and was good. Kajal looked so beautiful while Shraddha Das looked hot and sexy. Comedy by Brahmanandam as Dashavatharam, HR and Psychiatrist of AJ Software clicked and spilled the laughs in whole theater. Mukesh Rishi, Sayaji Shinde and others were also good. Ajay, as Subba Reddy has got a good role to perform as long time lover of Kajal and he scores in all the screens. Production values of Aditya Babu were so grand.

Out of the Movie �Arya 2�: The main positive points of the Movie come out to be Allu Arjun�s characterization. Kajal�s beautiful and innocent performance, Devisri prasad�s Music and tight script work.

On listing the few best aspects in the movie, we get:
1. Allu Arjun�s whole episode as �Mr. Perfect� in the software company.
2. The wonderful picturization of songs (except Ringa�Ringa) and their correct placement.
3. Good comedy by Brahmanandam.
4. Extraordinary dance moments once again composed by Prem Rakshit and Nobel Master, especially �My Love is gone� and �Mr. Perfect�.
5. Extraordinary first half which goes entirely on lighter vein.

The main drawbacks for Arya 2 are:
1. Whole movie looks to have the shades of Arya.
2. Sudden change over in Allu Arjun�s characterization in the second half looks indigestible.
3. Lighter mode of first half cannot be connected easily with Rajyalaseema�s episode and emotionally high contented episodes in the second half
4. Whole of the story looks to shift the track in second half and stretched till the climax.
5. Entertaining extraordinary first half disappoints the total second half.
6. Very bad picturization of �Ringa Ringa� song.

Cinejosh verdict �Arya 2�: An above average entertainer with extraordinary first half and average second half. Mega fans may get their share of entertainment perfectly. It�s the perfect blend of Arya�s love and Arya 2�s friendship.

Reading the other website reviews I thought the movie is gone.....I watched the movie today in Boston USA...Aarya 2 is FREAKING AWESOME...After a long time I enjoyed watching a telugu movie. I didn't enjoy so much even for magadheera (Gladiator, 300 scenes)....Hats off to Arjun. His acting in this movie is just unbelievable and I really can't believe my eyes for the way he danced :)

Arya2 Overwhelming response in US
ARYA2 got overwhelming response for this long week end in US and we couldn�t handle the people in some theater especially in NJ and VA due to un expected crowd. Stylish Star Allu Arjun already became a heartthrob to many of the young audiences with his six-pack body and with his stylish performance. Especially the film Arya under the direction of Sukumar earned him a star status among the young generation heroes. After a long gap, the same combination repeated and gossips made rounds that it would be a sequel to Arya and the media circulated the title as Arya-2. As it became popular among the fans and audiences, the unit had confirmed the same as the title, though it is neither a sequel to it nor all the artistes repeated in the cast. However, the names of characters continued in this flick too.

Arya (Allu Arjun) is an orphan who befriends Ajay (Navadeep). Arya is a very instinctive guy who takes tricky decisions in life. A millionaire adopts wants to adopt one of them. Arya wins the toss and sends Arya with them. The two grow up in different environment Ajay ignores Arya�s friendship. Ajay a software professional employs Arya. At this juncture Shanti (Kajal Agarwal) joins the company. Ajay loses his heart at the first sight and so does Ajay. Shanti learns about Arya as an innocent, she realizes that he was not such a soft person and is just acting. But nobody believes her.


Arya and Ajay both try ti impress her in their own way and Ajay enacts a drama and makes Arya unpopular. Shanti's father is making attempts to get her married to his rival�s son. On learning this, Arya goes to the village in Kurnool and plays another big drama and marries Shanti. But he calls Ajay and decides to unite them. He also makes arrangements to send them to the US. But Shanti�s father comes to know this and stops Ajay from leaving Kurnool. In order to get his friend Ajay, Arya takes the help of the rival factionists and somehow manages to take away Ajay and Shanti with him.

PLUS:
The major plus point in the film is the performance of Allu Arjun. His excellent dancing skills, perfect comedy timing, superb performance attracted the mass and young audiences and made the spell bound. All the other artistes including Navadeep, Kajal Agarwal, Shraddha Arya, Mukhesh Rushi, Sayaji Shinde also did complete justice to their roles. The director should be complimented for the excellent characterization of the hero, Allu Arjun, as the character runs in different shades with every-changing attitude. The movement of the character is beyond anybody�s imagination. Navadeep is okay in his role, while Kajal once again showed a nice performance. Another highlight of the film is the music by Devisri Prasad. The audio was a runaway hit and remained a chartbuster for a long time. The choreography of all the songs are really a feast to the eyes of audiences. Allu Arjun made several typical and diversified steps during all the songs. Action scenes by Ram and Lakshman are also good and stylish.

MINUS:
The director while concentrating more on the characterization of the hero ignored the length of the film and by the time he realized that it is prolonging, decided to wrap up the film in a huff-huff manner. As a result, the climax appeared to be too cinematic. In order to cover up the mess-up, the director chose to start the film with the climax scene and ended the film from the same point in the climax. But for the poor climax, the film is okay on all fronts. Another big draw back of the film is that Sukumar tried to downplay the factionalism and tried to evoke comedy from it. For hardcore fans of factionalism stories, the film appears to be truly cinematic.

ANALYSIS:
For those who go to watch Allu Arjun film with some expectations, the film would be a true feast. What all one could expect from Allu Arjun�s film could be available in this movie. With the excellent dances and melodious audio, the film would surely be a big hit. The film had all kinds of masala that is needed for a commercial formula film and it would definitely ring the box office and would remain another milestone in Allu Arjun�s career.

Coming to "ARYA-2" it is a difficult movie to handle..and we have to really appreciate "SUKUMAR" to handle such a complex story. There are N number of mentalities in society. Only actors can show them to audience. It is a very bold attempt from sukumar and allu (Guts to do different movies.). It has very good positive talk every where else than few websites.

With this movie I become "Allu" fan after "Chiru" for his extraordinary dances regarding which this review no where mentioned..

The film industry is one place where all interesting things happen. Perhaps the super talented music maker Devisri Prasad would be in a better position to talk about this. Well, it is being noticed that his music and songs have been creating wonders at the charts but the films have been bombing.

The latest example for that happens to be �Arya 2�. The music is a hit but the film turned out to be a disappointment at the box office. In fact, many credit Devisri for the little response that the movie has got since it was the songs that brought the crowds to the theatres.

This a very good movie and i defnitely say that still the reviewers mentality is set to that of 90's movies. So please donot give stupid reviews.

Movie should entertain the audience, in this perspective i say aarya-2 is nice choice to watch.

Well, the most hyped movie �Arya 2� has hit the screens and the reactions have been quite mixed from the audience and the critics alike. While the audio has scored a good success, the film is said to have suffered jolts at the box office given the budget with which it has been made.

As it is, the bandh called by the TRS party gave a blow to the movie collections over the weekend. Now, sources say that overall the film stands at a loss of nearly Rs 5 crores despite the best efforts by the makers to get it to the success mark.

If this buzz is true then it must be said that pressure will fall on Allu Arjun since his last movie �Parugu� also barely scrambled to be an average fare. On the brighter side, he has got enough movies lined up and one among them happens to be the promising �Vedam� by the talented Krish which could turn the tide on Arjun�s favor.
