People here divided on the basis of linguistic background shows the growing fanaticism among people. Its sad that even educated people are talking and penning like roadside goons.

This is a certainly an off-the-track movie and Kamal should be appreciated for his taste of good cinema (as always). The attempt of knitting 10 different avatars into a 3 hours story is a very tough task and Kamal has done it neatly, but not so diligently. The graphic work is mind-blowing and comparable to Hollywood standards. This movie is definitely treat to watch for movie lovers, but a big NO for those who are bigots of regionalism and practitioners of iconic worship.

Kamal recieves lot of respect from several Top Telugu film directors to critics. Kamal has also respect for Telugu people and film makers. I dont understand why some useless idiots on this forum barking without any knowledge? Best suggestion for them is to go and do bhajans of their stars or use other relevant forums that encourage such boot-licking stuff.

Dont compare one actor with another.. Kamal have different style , rajni has different style as Chiru has his own style.. Why compare Kamal with Chiru... Kamal and rajni mentor Balachandar himself said once that "If you combine Kamal and Rajni it is Chiru..". So chiru have mass qualities of rajni and class of Kamal.. dont try to compare chiru with each and every actor.. Even bacha actors from telugu... For Tamil speaking people, should admit movie is average. Kamal may be great actor, but in this movie it is only about him, which can be boring at times in movie.

What kind of technical values are we talking about comparing to Hollywood... Don't even dare to dream that of Indian Cinema (any language as of now).

Point to note about AP, AP people are always watching and entertaining other language films (HINDI/TAMIL/MALLU, ... it happened, it is happening, and it will happen. This is not the right place to speak about a community refering to some posts earlier. Movies which are even average in original TAMIL were hits in TELUGU.

Telugu people are always looking for something new and forget their own talent and abilities, that is where they lack and that is where the other people score over them.....

Wake up, it is time to speak, time to think, time to explore new dimensions in creative and innovative style.

The future of South Indian film industry will be in AP thats for sure..... ask the business, ask the producers, ask the heroes....

This is one of the worst Kamal films I have ever seen. I would rather watch Panchathantiram or Vasool raja MBBS for 16th time. Just a bunch of potato heads! I am sorry to say this, Kamal has taken a lot of pain in make up and stuff, but on the screen, it is not at all entertaining.

I am really surpraised that Kamal is giving such a movie. No story, no screenplay, no clear message, no comedy, just chasing and chasing, same type of scenes coming multiple times (train and jeep chase scean is same as electric train and motor bike chase scean)

It is a typical kamal-Ravikumar film ala panchatantram, Tenali. The story might look a bit complex, but the narration is simply brilliant.

The director uesd different roles of kamal to accomodate navarasas.

Japanese guy - Gambhiram

The first half is really very good, but the tempo goes down a bit in the scond half.

I think comedy is more than adequate and certainly not minimal as mentioned in the review.

i couldn't express it should come out from our hearts. really one word i can say that is i was heart felt. if he has taken personal interest it would be much better than anything.

As the saying goes, "There is a thin line between insanity and genius". Kamal with his penchant for trying something unique and different using his creative mind, came up with this magnum opus. But I personally feel the film lost touch with what a common man wants. Also I feel the film was forced to fit into a 10 role structure and some of the roles did not make any sense to the story line.

Kamal is one of the versatile and talented actors we have in our industry today. But I think his new screen experiments are getting too overwhelming and difficult to digest. Just look at their success rate at BoxOffice. I am not watching any of Kamal's new experiments !

the story revolves around govinda raja perumal 'URCHAVA' idol, thats why scientist govindu saying in introduction as
'it is god's story'

before going to say this story where 'govindaraja perumal is also a character' ( 2004 incidents), scientist govind want to say the story of govindarajar 'MOOLAVAR' i.e 12 th century scene.

the main thing is both 'urchavar' and 'moolavar ' idol belong to govindarajar of chidambaram temple.

((Urchava idol is standing pose , used for processions, Moolavar stays in temple ))

"so they aptly used the 12 th century scenes as according to story Govindarajar has TWO history, one dealt with religion and another dealt with science"

for novelty,kamal included scenes , when asin strike at yaali stone of chozha mandapam, as well as kamal and asin joins near govindarajar moolavar whey they depart before in 12 th century .

to put short , '12 th century episode is one more story of govindaraja perumal which is also a key character in 2004 story'

Dasavatharam is a very good movie which left me nowhere , It was unbelievable for me till now , that how kamal hassan managed to do so many roles , a great job . Movie should be appreciated for the great doings..

Kamal hassan's efforts in his movie Dasavatharam are appreciated and applauded by people all over the world!! It's success spread across cultural,language or even national barriers( even the Americans Acknowledge the performance of our Kamal).

This is the fact! But some narrow minded fellows are not accepting the fact.They are not having the taste for good cinema.

As long as their 'Hero' beat 10 bad guys in one blow,Or using his car as Earth moving vehicle to thrash the car of villains they will jump and whistle in joy.

Everytime Kamal comes out with an effort to move cinema forward those shit heroes will give a Bloody cinema which brigs shame to our country.
I hope that this trend stops with the Great success of 'Dasavatharam'

You need to understand that Kamal has tried atleast this. Have any of your so called heroes tried anything different. Also Kamal has played a role of telugu-ite in the movie. Even then you say BS Tamilians...It is you guys who are Bull Shit who cant even appreciate such hard work.
