On other hand, her father (Shayaji Shinde) fixes her marriage with a rich guy. She then asks Balu to pretend to love her for few months till she gets married. The rest of the story is how Balu finally falls in love with her.
Analysis
Director A Kodanda Ramireddy, a veteran of 93 films with 90 per cent of success rate, makes comeback after a long gap introducing his son Vaibhav as hero. It is so obvious that he made this film just for his son. That is why we don't see any story here. We get only plenty of songs, and songs - just to showcase Vaibhavs dancing abilities and occasionally putting action stunts to exhibit his talent for fights.
An amalgam of scenes borrowing from various films (including copying a complete scene from Dil Chahta Hai), Godava is a big bore. With weak script and insipid scenes, the veteran director has tried to hold audiences with songs. It is clear that he has lost midas touch. Shraddha Arya's liberal skin show and Manisharma's hit numbers are the only ones that are relief.
The narration is theatrical. Comedy by Venumadhav is example of bankruptcy of ideas. First half is a big joke. It doesn't hold any interest.
Performances
Vaibhav who makes debut is good at dances but there is so much resemblance to Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja and others in performances.
Shraddha Arya steals the show with her enviable physique. She flaunts her assets without inhibitions giving eye feast to male eye. Shayaji Shinde lacks punch. Rest of the cast has not much to do. Venumadhav's comedy track is so irritating.
Technically, it is Manisharma who grabs the attention. His songs are good to hear and also the picturisation is neat. Camera by Dinesh is neat. Kodanda Ramireddy succeeds in presenting newcomers look like a experienced actors but his direction has lost his glory touch that we have seen in 80's when he made films with Chiranjeevi (with whom he delivered about 18 blockbusters) and Balakrishna.
Bottom-line
The film is big bore except for songs and Shraddha Arya (for her good skin show).
