Analysis

Gundammagari Manavadu has more chances of striking the chord with B and C centre audiences than the urban folks as its music is catchy. And also the sentiment scenes can be lapped by them. Director Jaya has shown considerable improvement as director with Gundammagari Manavadu compared to her earlier films. She has extracted good performances from all the lead actors. All the songs are catchy and its picturisation is also good. That again shows that Jaya’s asset is songs. Probably that is why she has chosen to narrate the film more with songs.

But again, she doesn’t much succeed in narrating the film in a crisp manner. Gundammagari Manavadu is an okay film considering its low budget and shot in less than 40 working days. But the main drawback of the film is it is slow paced. Second half is too lengthy. Lack of comedy is another major minus point.

The film revolves around four characters – Ali, Vadivukkarasi, Tanikella and Kota and they come up as winners with thier perfromances. Especially Tanikella and Kota have got more footage after hero Ali and their characterizations are good. Superstar Krishna making a guest appearance added some star attraction.
