I just watched jalsa film, the film starts with nice comedy by both pawan kalyan and prakash raj, after that a nice fight sequence in order to save ileana, this follwed by a nice song.
First half has enough elements to enjoy and second half is full treat.

Though the film is very good, i still feel the movie is above average, this is because i went to venkatadhri theatre yesterday and today i went to theatre by 6:30 in the morning, everyone is litreally tied when they are watching this film, i am sure after week everyone will see this film with ease and this film will create records which will be unbrokable. Its true!

saw the movie there is nothing much interesting. its an average movie. too much violence.Kids can avoid. 3 songs are good. PK in his child hood lost his brother after some years looses his mom dad joins naxlite. with prakash raj as a cop PK again joins a normal life, falls in love with prakash raj daughters first daughter is rejected by her father. Second daughter also falls in love with PK, thats illiana but during PK as a naxalite he finds enimity with the vilan. vilan wants to take revenge on PK by getting illiana married to his son. Prakash raj approches PK to do something.atlast he marries illiana. can see the characterstics of PK as psycho.first half is ok . second half is predictable. No great dances also. over all for me its an avereage movie. NO chiru no chiruta in the movie. Children can avoid the movie and some editing work needs to be done

One of the worst acted & directed movies of all time. Had huge expectations and looks like Pawan could not stop from putting his head in direction department. It never looked like a trivikram except for few comic scenes, which became monotonous. Don't even know the justification of the title. Movie had great songs to listen, but on screen one of the worst. Overall, another FLOP for Pawan. Its so sad.

No seriousness in Hero's characterization. Dont even know why he drinks all time.
Except for few comic scenes from Suneel, Bramhanandam and Pawan himself, and of course climax everything is half baked or confusing or makers just wanted to make a movie.

Better luck next time Pawan. We still regard you as the best, but you have to come out of your monotonous dialogue delivery mode while delivering serious dialogues (not the same "MEEKU TELUSA" ones).

Big assests to the movie are First Half, Chemistry between Hero and Heroine, which Pawan normally misses out in his movies. Fights are good and every one should agree that Pawan is looking great in this movie. Ileana 'acted' in this movie. Mahesh's voice over is good. Camera work is cool. Its only Trivikram, who could have done his job better.

In order to earn stardom, a film artiste had to struggle a lot. After acting in some 15-20 films and after putting up some 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry, a hero could get an image of his own. But in case of Pawan Kalyan, this proved wrong. It is not just because he is the brother of Mega Star Chiranjeevi. His style and performance earned him the name. Though his first two films went unnoticed, he bagged a hit with his third film ‘Suswagatham’. Next came a blockbuster called ‘Tholiprema’. With the fourth film itself he gained the star image. After some hiccups, ‘Badri’ stood a hit. Again he resurrected himself with another blockbuster in the form of ‘Khushi’, a sensational hit in his career. This film proved the range of Pawan Kalyan and kept him on a high pedestal. Again bad luck haunted him for some time. ‘Annavaram’ which was released at the end of 2006, gave him some solace. With Trivikram Srinivas wielding the megaphone, Pawan Kalyan came out with another hit in his career through ‘Jalsa’. It is really a gala time for his fans, as the film had all kinds of elements including excellent entertainment, coupled stylish action scenes, interlaced with love thread.

It is quite surprising to note that none of the films of Pawan Kalyan caused loss to the buyers, distributors and exhibitors. Though the films get a flop talk or average and above average talk, none of his films were commercially flops. His fans continued to give him an undaunted support irrespective of the hit or flop talk. ‘Badri’ got a flop talk but it ran a silver jubilee. Most of his fans are youth and college-going students and this was the reason for fantastic openings for all his films.

Coming to ‘Jalsa’, Sanjay Sahu @ Sanjay (Pawan Kalyan) is the son of a poor farmer. While his brother died in an early age with a heart disease, his parents commit suicide after a crop loss. This forces him to take a decision to retaliate against the society and he joins Naxalites. After a fierce encounter, Sanjay surrenders to police and continues his education. He falls in love with a police officer’s (Prakash Raj) daughter Indu (Kamalini Mukherjee). He could not convince the police officer and Indu gets married to an NRI. Again, Jyotsna @ Joe (Parvati Melton) and Bhagmati @ Baagi (Ileana) enter into his life. While Sanjay rejects Joe outrightly, Baagi makes several attempts to win his love and finally succeeds. But her father did not accept the alliance, as he knows well that Sanjay is a former Naxalite. At this juncture, Damodar Reddy (Mukhesh Rushi) enters the scene as he bores grudge against Sanjay for thrashing his second son. Damodar Reddy puts a spot to Baagi and fixes her marriage with his second son. Did he succeed in performing the marriage? How Sanjay stopped that marriage? How Sanjay was able to express his love towards Baagi. Did Baagi’s father accept their marriage or not? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

Pawan Kalyan gave an excellent performance after a long time. He really reminded his fans the days of ‘Khushi’ and ‘Tholiprema’ in this movie. His attire everything were very simple and resembled a true college student. His comedy timing was exceptional. Really he made the audiences burst into laughter with his hilarious comedy in the entire first half. However, director Trivikram loosened his grip on the character for quite some time in the second half, but the hero turned powerful in the climax.

Ileana, Unlike her previous films, the director did not try to portray her as a glamour doll by exposing her belly button or waist. Colors Swathi voice suits her well. Her character was quite modest and she is very homely in the film with a girl in the next-door kind of image. Parvati Milton went a little overboard with her sex appeal and oomph dress and dance. Kamalini appears only in a couple of scenes and has not much role. Mukhesh Rushi as a powerful factionist justified his role. Especially, the director chose a stylish taking of scenes involving even the villain, without going for unnecessary and unwanted scenes. Prakash Raj, Ali, Sunil, Uttej and others did justice to their respective roles. Again it is Brahmanamdam who stole the show with good comedy.

Devisri Prasad, who scored music for the first time to Pawan Kalyan gave rocking tunes to all the songs. The audio remained a chartbuster for the past few weeks and almost all the FM channels continue to play the songs, which made them further popular. When it comes to choreography, not all the songs but only few were shot well. The first song in the film was adequate. Srikar Prasad's editing was crisp.

As far as action scenes, they were in true style of Trivikram Srinivas. Action scenes choreographed by Vijay were a little stylish. Camera work by Guhan and Rasool is first-rate. Director Trivikram Srinivas, who shouldered the responsibility of providing story, dialogues, screenplay and direction, succeeded in each department in parts. While the dialogues with a comedy touch were outstanding, the emotional dialogues before the interval bang was quite lengthy and powerful. Maheshbabu’s voice over is another highlight of the movie.

Though the film opened with above average talk, the success of the audio may drive people into theatres and it is beyond doubt that the openings would be extraordinary like all the earlier Pawan Kalyan’s films. No Doubt, Jalsa is the youthful film coupled with good entertainment and time pass during this summer.

today i have seen the movie and i must say its the worst movie ever made by TRIVIKRAM.i guess pawan interfered in the direction department.i came out after the JALSA song.i could not take any more.
1) first of all JALS title is not at all apt for the movie.
2) there is no use for the characters PARVATHI MELTON AND KAMLINEE.
3) NO need for the NAXALISM theme.
4) there was no seriousness in the naxalite role.
5) picturaisation of the songs is very very poor.DEVI did his best buit the director did not to the dance department.
6) i have become irritated by the body and the dialogue delivery of pawan..it has become a very monotonous one.
7) Brahmanadam comedy was much similar to the one in recenmt krishna...i could not laugh even once.
8) very very loose screenplay.
9) trivikram's punch not seen anywhere at all.
i got a sense that the movie wo8ld be a flop yesterday night itself when i saw chiru being dull after coming out of the jalsa premire at prasad labs.
i think pawan kalyan needs to do the following:
1) discover new way of body language and dialogue delivery.
2) he needs to come out of the camp of allu arvind, aswini dutt, nagababu.
3) he should stop interefering id the directors jobg.
4)even if its a risky thing he needs to give chance to new directors and music directors.
5) he shloud do atleast 4 films per year to get lucky.
6) soory for saying this ...........he needs help form the doctor mentally..something is wrong defintely.
for this he need to settle the case with NANDINI....BECAUSE A MAN IS NEVER HAPPY IF A WOMAN IS SAAD OR HURT.

Movie is just about ok.Time pass.My only request to the fans is not to personalise the issues and get down to using mind less filthy language.

I am an occasional telugu movie watcher. I can understand about 80-90%. I was happy to find tickets at PVR Bangalore and jumped in as I had enjoyed this directors previous movies (Athadu and some other).

1) Movie is average with some bits of comedy
2) Very big disappointment with direction and dialogues. My guess is he played to the tune of hero rather than his own tune.
3) Hero lacks emotion in voice and need to reduce overacting. He probably needs to see his brother's movies (bit older movies) and learn.
4) Naxals scenes are big joke.
5) Review was bit over rated

Overall worth watching once if you have time...

jalsa is okay but no where near great. pavan is highly overrated and overacting hero. this allu arjun and pavan kalyan ould have been kicked out from the film industry long back had it not been for chiru. chiru is awesome. compare the dances of pavan from this movie and dances of chiru from any movie. chiru has that grace of dancing and acting naturally in him. these other guys are just forcing themselves to be heroes but are no where near chiru. i cannot aceept pigs and monkeys as heroes just because they happen to be relatives of chiru. no body supports a murderer if he is relative of a good man. this is same. these idiots are murdering the image of chiru and the art of "mass" cinema created by him over the years. this idiot pavan's episode involving bigamy defamed chiru already. have you ever heard of such things about chiru. these guys are still lucky because chiru is still bearing them and that shows the patience of chiru and his greatness. he is bearing allu arjun, pavan and even srija. but i dont think they can never reciprocate this back to chiru. this ram charan seems to be the best of this otherwise useless lot. if pavan was not related to chiru, jalsa would have bitten mud already for its poor script and screenplay. only chiru is the best and all these guys from his family are useless fellows trying to bask in his hard earned glory and name. period.

I thought that this film would be a sure hit like kushi...but the story was totally confusing...wrong choice of hero, dumb heroine, stale comedy, fragile screenplay and pathetic direction will certainly make this film a utter flop. The title JALSA has no justification. Even pawan fans cannot do jalsa while watching the movie. It was pity that veteran comedian like brahmanandam are so poorly utilised. I find Mahesh Babu's voice is the only soothing part in this film. This film will take the audians for a ride. Avoid this film at any cost.

Mahesh Babu's narration is quite interesting. It is a children movie. Pavan kalyan is so week physically and illeyana is strong. Her face is cute and her base is oh god .... already out. very poor direction. dialogues are routine no story only music is average all are below all other aspects are below average. Just chiru's entry in to politics made the movie a crazy and the political party also will lead to a big caste feeling fights and entire A.P. will become Kurukshetra. Watch it. This is UGADI Jyothishyam.

I saw this movie 2nd time, now I really enjoyed all the dialogs, They are too fast first time it is really difficult catch. Good entertainer.

This movie has three-four points in its positive side and equal number of negatives too.
The positives are: 1) High technical values and a lovely presentation with a refreshing screenplay. 2) Pawan never look at this ease in his post-khushi movies as i felt that he and Trivikram have vibed well and that shows on the screen, indeed pawan kalyan is electrifyig; 3) Mukesh Rushi looked terrifying as villain and so are other cast - especially brahmanandam and prakash raj in their cameos. Last but not the least, the healthy trend that will surely breath freshness into the film field is Mahesh Babu's voice over - it is heard that both mahesh and pawan are good friends too. how mellifluous his voice is. As usual Trivikram's dialogues rock-punch.
Having said this, do i need say that lot of bloodshed is its first and foremost negative point. A little dragged 2nd half are the films negatives.

I really wish to see this healthy trend continues - with pawan, mahesh, ntr, allu arjun, charan, prabhas joining together and coming out with meaningful entertainers. I request the fans to restrain from demeaning posts.

The Mehar Ramesh directed NTR starrer Kantri is scheduled for an April release, say the producers.

2. The pre-release hype helped a lot for the movie to generate the big openings.

3. The 1st half is OK and 2nd half is horrible. The audience were misled by the good reviews on the movie and when they saw the movie, they were totally disappointed.

4. The second week collections of Jalsa in USA would be less than 25% compared to the second week collections of hit movies like Happy Days/Bommarillu/Pokiri which were 90-100% even in the second week.

5. You cannot fool the audience all the time. Except 1 website, every other website gave good reviews and misled the audience.

6. Pawan did not have a hit since many years and hence people wanted to desperately give him a hit. But still Jalsa does not have the goods to deliver.

7. Overall it is proved that after Rajinikanth, Pawan is the biggest crowd puller in South India. Pawan ROCKS!!!

it is a regular(waste and flop) like all pawan films it is also going to be flop.
it's quite natural that pawan movie is very boar and his over action scenes are many in this movie.Athadu is good film from trivikram and this is very very boaring.from front pawan and from back mahesh tortured the people for 3 hours.
i request trivikram please did next film varudu with great care.

Kanthri Dengs ante super duper blooper flop. Just Like "Okka Mogadu". EE lanja kodukulaki 7 years gaa hit leka inka balayya ki fans antaru. Paniki malina lanja kodukulu. I am not any bodys fan, but saw, its a good movie. Not like the -ve talk spread by kamma lanja kodukulu. "JALSA" is a super duper Hit.

Tell me in which Trivikram's movie there is a strong story... and without loop holes??!! He makes up for these with good entertainment... ppl come repeatedly for entertainment.. If Trivikram's previous movies with loopholes (Nuvve nuvve, Athadu) deserve to be hits, then so does this one!! to add to u kamma lanja kodukulu anthe, inkollu hit ante tattukune capacity vaallaki devudu iyyaledu. Scrap among the castes in AP.
