I saw it as a socio-fantasy movie. If you take out the silly romance part that gets annoying at times, I left theater feeling great about the movie. Also, most of the songs sounded like replays from Godavari and Happy Days.

Of course, it's superficial concept but maybe the message is that our politicians and system got so corrupt that only a superficial approach can clean it up.

How long can we keep seeing movies like Adurs, Narasimha Naidu, Arya's?

I am glad I enjoyed this movie. It's nice to have directors who still want to make honest movies.

For those who watch movies based on ratings, here are my over-all thoughts to help you decide

- 30 mins of the movie feels silly and loses the grip on the flow of the story.
- 20 mins of songs is wasted like in most of our movies
- 100 mins of the movie is nice
- 30 mins of the movie is good.
- last 20-30 mins is the icing on the cake. It makes you leave the theater with a very emotional feeling.

It's hard for people who hate Mahatma Gandhi or for people who like to use vulgar words to express their opinion on the web to like such movies.

Leader is a good movie. Yes, some scenes are unconvincing but overall it's a good movie. RaNa is excellent and will reach heights in the future for sure. Background score is an asset to this movie along with dialogues and photography.

people its an honest attempt to change the system.so think about the corruption in the country or atleast in our state.coming to the movie it has got excellent first half,second half drags a bit.first comer rana rocks entirely,mickey j mayer composed excellent scores.a movie of this kind(political drama)should have good dialogues and the movie's soul lies in those dialogues,excellent diologues.and finally a different movie from telugu.

after seeing its promos when launched, i felt that some thing is lacking in this movie. and its was undigestive to feel that the promo is of shekar kammula's movie.

i noticed few points in promos and expressed the same in my earlier comments on this movie topic on 5th feb. i will mention again those points now.

1. when sweepers were dancing on back ground song, it was just look like it's an advertisement of government agency. it was that bad.

2. when all the people fold their hands by seeing rana, i felt again that it looks like a govt ad.

3. heroine silly horrible expressions, which we never see in shekar's movies.

i have watched the movie yesterday only and felt that shekar needs to think again to make these kind of silly movies. there were lot of expectations for this movie. shekar dumped not only the distributors but also all of us.

shekar, wake up else u will be go in the way of teja who disappeared now.

movie was utterly superficial. an attempt by the director to survive on the sentiments and emotions of the audience, yet again. With no acting capabilities of RANA and bad camera work and utterly disastrous sound, the movie even more falls short of the huge expectations which is further supported by its mediocre writing. the movie chooses silly ways to generate emotions and the way the dialogues are repeated, i dont know if we are degrading. if not anything one memorable character of the whole film was the rape victims father who stood apart with his earthy performance. leave alone class, this movie leaves a maligning impression about women and goodness. idi mana bharatham (lyric in the movie) stands true to the way we are churning out movies concocted to satisfy a few stars and their kids and then paying big time for favorable reviews. p.s.

if just talking about corruption is about nobleness in todays india then god save us and our art. -this is not intended to deprive Mr. sheker kammula's ability but a genuine audiences concern. so not getting into the details of the naivety of the film maker. rating 2.25 for thinking on a social conscious subject but bcoz it comes from a responsible nd hyped director i minus 1. rating 1.25

this movie is a nice attempt at tackling our present political situation though its very superficial i found it way better than the usual crap like adhurs, jalsa, athidhi, anjaneyulu. this movie is of a rare breed it deserves to be watched. the critic seriously needs to start examining the good qualities of a movie. i think yes the movie had many flaws and could have been made better but that doesnt mean that it should be ripped apart in this way. and really giving saleem 1.5 adhurs 3 and namo venkatesa 3 and giving this 2.75 it really is a shame on your part because none of those movies deserve anything above a 0 of course saleem shouldnt be reviewed at all, evn if it is it should be given a -100. for all those people that enjoy movies in which hero doesn't have superman powers this is a movie for u!

First half is ok with some good scenes. But second half is meaning less. Sekhar kammula's script is very weak and outlandish. Rana is good looking but did not potray variations. But big disappointment is sekhar.

I totally disagree with the review. This is a very good movie. This is basically a journey of a CM's son and how he uses the situations around him to make an impact in a way he wants to do at any cost event it means giving something to others. So, I completely dont understand the review about second half. Second half of course is slow because that is when he faces some stiff competition from all others and the director tries to show different circumstances that made him to come out of those compromises and be what the director wants him to be. This basically is a Journey of the hero.

Totally disagree with you. It is not a masterpiece but a decent good Telugu film. No smell of Tamil Sambar or Hindi masala. A must watch good film. Tahnk you Shekar for a good film. Prakash

The movie was excellent, i agree there are some flaws and the movie should get 4/5, who ever gave 2.75 should be removed from writing reviews .

Shekar kammula directing was awesome and rana did a great job. please don't judge this move about lacking this and that, shekar showed a subtle way the potiticians works and how common people life's effect because of their actions , so he showed each and every ploblem we face these days the problems showed in the movie are unending, I think every human being of our should watch this movie if 10% of people changed that would be great.

the one who wrote bad about this movie, it must have hit their nerve.

Leader is a decent movie but not a convincing movie. The director completely failed in this movie. he is very impractical and lost his grip totally on the subjet. So many scenes are unconvincing.But for Rana the movie would have been disaster. Rana is good looking and that has saved the movie to some extent. After release of YMC leader's collections have drastically dropped. YMC is a well made movie. Narrationis beautiful. Lead pair chemistry is excellent. I agree few scenes are boring yet the movie attracts you.Probably the reshness and on screen chemistry between Chaitanya and samanta. Reviews will be made on how sucessful the director is in presenting his thoughts. Sekhar failed miserably in screenplay.

leader is really super movie.. postpone all ur works and go and watch it...

movie story line is excellent and fully commercial.

but sekhar kammula and rana duo spoiled the show by showing their lacklustre expressions and taking. If such story is made by vinayak or rajamouli, it would have reached more people.

But i liked the plot and dialogues very much and i watched movie in dvd also, immediately after watching in theaters. Some scenes are really touching...
- gollapudi's concept of chicken biryani, pappu, rice, rice free
- and other corruption related dialogues by hero and others
- old person talking to CM scene etc.,

all telugu fools are wants movies like 16 years love stories and last life stories. some one taken some usefull things like developing ACB good thoughts. people don't want good at all

people wants starting big fight with 100 gang stars. after song after love. then only people will go to theater .

i like this type movies. which is use full to nation.

aweome flick....loved it.... i am a great fan of sekhar kammula sir....rana made a good debut...i hated the heroins.... and i am completely disappointed with the movie review... and i think one of them commented very badly,SHIVA....you r right,you should express your feelings about the movie...but i think you exaggerated a lot...

A very honest movie. I liked the concept and efforts put by Shekar Kammula sir in this movie. Kudos to him for his effort.

Rana does a very neat job and more can be expected from him in his future movies. Music is good, back ground score is to the mark so is Camerawork and art.
