What's it about!
It is about parody on 'factionism'. Subramanyam Sastri (Allari Naresh) falls in love with Surekha Reddy (Farzana). After a couple of songs and romance later, he comes to know that Surekha belongs to a faction family in Rayalaseema. So it is his turn to convince their parents in faction style. The rest of the proceedings bring laughter.
Analysis
We have seen lots of faction films. This Seema Sastry is humorous (or parody) take on them. The film is kind of David Dhawan film - where laughter only matters not the logic. In that sense, Seema Shastry, directed by G Nageshwar Reddy (who earlier directed 6 Teens and other hits), has winner despite inconsistency in narration.
With plain storyline, the director maintains the interest with neat comedy and enough turns and twists. There are also enough vulgar dialogues aimed at B and C centre audiences. Comedy and songs have come in the advantage of the film.
Performances
Allari Naresh suits well for the title role. His dialogue delivery as 'Brahminic' style is good. Farzana provides necessary glamour to the film. She sizzles in songs with good skin show. Rests of the comedians have complemented the film. Dialogues are laced with double meaning dialogues and evoked laughter. Music is really good.
Bottom-line
Seema Shastry provides enough laughs and is good vasool for money. Despite some vulgar dialogues and illogical plotline and scenes, it gives entertainment. That is what matters.
