I cannot understand why the author had to talk about kannada film industry. I thought Telugucinema is one place where they are good and are neutral. But that was really cheap of this site to talk about other industries so low. I stronlgy feel you should re write the review by removing the remarks on kannada film industry.

I dont think kannada movies are any low in standards compared to telugu movies NOW. Only thing I like about the telugu movies is that movies are colorful and rich otherwise there is nothing that u would like. Most of the stories are childish wit h too much of drama in it.
Coming to the stardards of Mungarumale I dont think the author has wached the movie. Please do watch it.
Please come down to Bangalore and watch good kannada movies once and then talk about the standards.

whoever who wrote this review is a fool and doesn't even know the language of cinema ata all. First I want to ask him havs he watched Mungaru Male.

He is giving excuse for the film because the hero is not the ever charming Ganesh and the director is not Yograj Bhatt, nor the music director is The genius "Mano Murthy ".

First of all these telugu films lack sense and the viewers as well . Imagine a movie running to packed houses in a multiplex for an year which is first time in the history of films in the world over.

Does that mean that the people who watched MM are fools. The people who watched the movie included Kannadigas,Hindi people, Telugu people & Tamil people.

Getting huge sets and telling that the movie is rich is a utter stupidity. Movie becomes rich because of the novel theme & the execution.

Wat is Pokiri , released in 250+ theatres & grossing just 60 crores , it is the biggest hit in TFI as said.

But imagine MM released in a meagre 25 theatres & then extended to 123 theatres and grossing close to 60 crores.

I agree the kannada version is superb ( hero, director and music director) but in telugu version the lead pair were a mismatch to the role also the director and bank ground music is a minus point.

Kannadiga doesnot mean mother tounge is kannada. My mother toungue is telugu and we all speak telugu at home but we are proud kannadigas.

Vinay and Yograj Bhat are tulu speaking kannadiga's.
Prabhu deva is not a pure tamilian please talk to him or his family and then talk he is a kannada speaking guy settled in tamili nadu.

Yes Kannda film industry is smaller because we are busy with other things like improving the economy and giving better education to neghbouring states ppl, even ur chief minister studied in karnataka.

First of all it's a big mistake to remake mungaru male in telugu. I have seen in both languages. Even though story is simple, Mungaru male is based on feelings and emotions, Lyrics and the way it was executed by the director. Most things will be shown in actions and eyes rather than dialogues, that is where u feel about the movie. But Vaana lacks this right from the beginning.
It's not the standards of the film industry that people look for, it's the energy or the feelings that u carry after watching a have that strikes the audience.
Look at Pokiri, it's not complete action film, but the way it is executed by Puri with dialogues and narration that made it a Big hit.

So stop comparing the standards between different language film industry Dear Reviewer.
People who have made Mass movies cannot understand the movies which have a lot of emotions and insights. They know only Kottu, naruku, champu.....
Mungaru male is still running in PVR multiplex from past 1.1 years which is a National record for any movie in any language. Are people mad to watch that too in multiplex by spending so much money.

-Swadesh is remake of Chigurida Kanasu (Hero returns from Delhi after his studies and work in the villeges, power invention everything dittoo.
- Aptamitra is already well known dubbed in hindi (bhool bhulayya)/Tamil/Telugu
- Mungaru male
- and many Dr.Rajkumar movies earlier remade in telugu, and I can hear some of my telugu friends talking famous rajkumar songs (telugu version)

What standard Telugu industry has shown dubbing TAMIL/English movies, watching tamil actors/actress, better leave that and develop 'SWABHIMANA' like Kannada industry, make your own movies or Remake them instead of dubbing it is nothing but copying it is illegal moral, show your own talented actors to your people instead of showing other industry faces.
- Just showing richness and delibrately intrudcing suspence or formula doesnot make movies hit. give natural movies like My Autograph, and like other good movies.
