hey its good to take films with other region actores.but u see tamils
comment us telling that our films run in AP but non of the telugu films
released here dosent play well..
so pl stop releasing tamil films in AP,because we have enough of films
produced in a year.because of releasing it they feel that the are top in
south.
may be .....but TOLLYWOOD rocks........

@ Thuu...
Do you have any idea how many Telugu people are stars in Tamil? Yeah,
those dark fellows...well, they are Telugu by origin. Vijaykanth naidu and
Vishal Reddy inclusive.
@ Voice of Andhra,
Tamil films run in Andhra. Kannada films also run in Andhra. So do Hindi
films, better than the other too. Why? Because Andhrites watch films 4
times more. That is nothing personal to you or me. It's just consumption
is more. Otherwise, a good film will run anywhere. Example... Shiva ran
in Tamilnadu for 100 days in A centers. So did Geethanjali. So did
Vijayanthi IPS.
What did Telugu audience do for Sreeram for him to remember or forget?
He sang great and all Indians voted for him!

i agree with ksk.
stop living in the dark and stop supporting movies based on
region/language.
a good actor is a good actor and a good movie is a good movie. period.
also, sreeram won indian idol because he is the best singer among the
contestants. stop marketing about him in the name of andhra or hyderabad.
he is 'indian' first.
ps: i am from hyderabad too before someone starts flame on me.

If Telugu audience wants only Telugu actors(meaning - Telugu camp
offsprings), then all the Bollywood and Tamil films won't be making so much
profit, would they? So Awara flopped. Gajini was a big hit.
Coming to Athadu... it was liked by a section of the audience only. And
Mahesh's readymade fanbase by Krishna helped in some other areas.
Otherwise, Andhra audience demand for entertainment through films is much
higher. So they are willing to watch. Read MuraliMohan's interview on this
website to see just how profitable the venture was:-(
Not just Athadu, I bet Indhra wouldn't have run, Tholi Prema didn't run,
Simhadri would have flopped, so would Aadi or a host of films, in Tamil.
For that matter, if Pokiri had been dubbed instead of remade, it would have
flopped.
A sensational performance of a Telugu film has much more to do than just
being a good film. Fan following matters. Also nativity. Do you really
expect Tamilnadu/Kerala/Karnataka to receive Telugu offspring heros the
same way. Can we make JR.NTR work in Tamilnadu because he is NTR's
grandson? You think Tamil/Mallu audience are going to care if Maheshbabu
wore "lungi" for the first time?
Good films will run anywhere, but not all good films become successes,
right? Else, so many lower budget films should have racked in profits.
But not all films can be a "Nuvve Kavali"(a flop when remade in Tamil,
btw)
For your info, even Jayam Ravi is a Telugu guy, Editor Mohan's son. His
brother produced and directed Tamil version of Kick. Let's feel sorry for
the sambars that they need to put up with 2nd class Telugu performers.
Also, at one point, Pawan Kalyan was remaking Vijay's hits one after the
other. Every other director in Tamil cinema is from Karnataka or Andhra.
There are some people who are prejudiced and full of hate, and they try to
spread their hate by writing disparaging comments about other language
communities, other regions, etc.
If people care so much about their region and people, sponsor a child's
education or help stabilize a family in poverty. There's enough to do
without spreading hatred
HAHAHA

Hi,
So called Tamil fanatics has to remember few things -- rajani is a
Kannada guy named sivaji gykwad. Ajith is a Telugu guy named srikar. These
two have good following in Telugu. Kamal did lot of Telugu straight movies
, so he too had good following. Vikram is Telugu guy too.
Pure tamilians like vijay & vijay kanth never had that good
following.

@ Bobby,
Get facts straight. Vijaykanth is a Telugu Naidu. But he used to have
immense following with the masses.
Vijay is Tamilian but he has the biggest fan following after Rajanikanth.
Rajnikanth is originally a Maharastrian!:-) He was born and raised in
Karnataka. Ajith's father is a Malayalee and mother is Sindhi. I don't
know about Vikram, but he has never stated being Telugu in any interviews.
There are more 'creators' of Tamil fanatism and North fanatism among other
regions, than there are Tamil fanatics, it looks like.
Regardless, as I just listed above, even knowing that their superstars are
non-Tamils, the Tamil audience welcomes them. Even if Telugu audience can't
encourage other community actors(Siddharth/Srikanth are not superstars),
let them encourage fellow Telugu heroes outside of these stupid camps.
