Charmee in another controversy
Dec 28, 2007 - 10:09:08 PM

Charmee flaunts her assets on screen. Off screen too she wants to build her assets (read money) immensely. That is why she is troubling novice film producers for a small amount of her remuneration. Her no-holds barred attitude towards skin show makes men go wild in fantasies. But the sexy lady is giving 'sleepless nights' to the young producers of Mantra, the Charmee starrer.

What really happened is..

Producers Ravi Prakash and Kalyan Ram began this thriller, Mantra and promised her a certain amount of remuneration. Half way through the making they faced money crunch. When the release time came, Charmee said to have sent the 'lab letter' (a trade term) stating that the producers owe her Rs 5 Lakhs to her and the film should not be released until the amount was cleared.

"In order to release the movie, the producers approached her manager Srinivas who promised to mediate in this matter. The producers promised her that they would pay the balance amount from the 'overflows' of the collections after the release," a source informed Telugucinema.com

For making Charmee to give no objection to the film's release, her manager said to have bargained the Malayalam remake rights to him.

Trouble again..

As the film released with a good talk and opened with great openings, when the producers approached her for 'promotional tour' and 'success meet's, Charmee started putting conditions. According to the sources: "She asked the producers not to invite any of the actors (Shivaji or Kausha or others) to the press meets if she were to attend."

Charmee also said to have offended when she learnt that the producers were sold off Tamil remake rights. She wanted to take it for her own.

Although the film succeeded, the producers are in quandary position with their leading lady giving fresh troubles. Mantra was made with Rs 2.5 Crores.
