Nagarjuna feels like ‘King’
Nagarjuna asked his fans not to call him by the title of ‘Yuva Samrat’. “Instead it is better if you say King,” he laughed. “I am happy that the film has shaped out so well and it has all the ingredients to be a good entertainer. No weepy, creepy elements are there. Only fun and frolic that you get in King! I had seen the rushes of the movie and confidently can say that my December sentiment would work favorably again. December has been very lucky to me,” he said.
King is paisa vasool movie
“We worked like soldiers for King. But our King gave us full freedom to come up with better results,” Sreenu Vytla said on the occasion.
Later all the guests started talking about the heir apparent Naga Chaitanya. He also cut his birthday cake on the stage.
ANR praises grandson
Akkineni Nageshwara Rao showered praises on his grandson Naga Chaitanya on the stage. “When my son Nagarjuna expressed his desire to turn actor at the age of 10, I told him to complete studies first. After finishing studies in USA, he came back to me and told that he was still interested in acting. So we introduced him as actor. He strived hard himself to prove as a good actor with varied films like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu. His son Akhil made debut with Sisindri. Then Sumanth followed and just recently Sushanth made debut with Kalidasu. All of them are lucky to have the patronage by audiences.
We never expected Naga Chaitanya to be an actor but when he showed his interest, we made him to go for Mumbai for crash course in acting and sent him to Hollywood to learn fights and dances. We wanted to introduce on our Annapurna banner but producer Dil Raju came forward to make this one and we are really happy that my grandson is in safe hands. He is a producer with a Midas touch. Naga Chaitanya has all the qualities to become a good actor. I am sure he would excel as a star,” he said.
'Will make my family feel proud'
“This is the best birthday that I ever had.I had been waiting for this occasion for the last couple of years. I am happy that I am being launched now with a perfect film. I should make two grandfathers - ANR and D Rama Naidu – feel proud of me.”
Venkatesh gives suggestions
Naga Chaitanya’s uncle Venkatesh wished him a great success. “20 years ago, Nagarjuna made a sensation with Shiva. I am sure Chaitu will do the same magic with his very first film. I only give suggestion to Chaitu that he should do variety of roles and I wish the fans to accept when he does such different characters.”
