Nag’s son Naga Chaitanya’s debut film was formally launched today (September 20, 2008) on the occasion of Akkineni Nageshwara Rao’s birthday. At a specially created set at Annapoorna Studios, the pooja was at 11.22 am in the morning and it was done in very low-key profile. Fans were not invited; so was the media. Akkineni Nageshwara Rao sounded the clap board the for mururat shot for his grandson, while K Raghavendra Rao directed the first shot and D Ramanaidu switched on the camera. The film’s producer Dil Raju and director Vasu Varma and hero Venkatesh graced the ceremony.
Later, bigwigs from Tollywood met Nagarjuna and Chaitanya and wished the star son all the best.
The film will begin its regular shoot next month. Heroine for the film has not yet been finalized. Sandeep Chowta is scoring the music.
