This is the combination that every Mahesh Babus fan has been waiting to happen. Every Shankars fan in Andhra Pradesh is dreaming of. Superstar Mahesh Babu and South Indias top director Shankar is all set to work together. The duo has joined hands to remake Indias biggest blockbuster - 3 Idiots. Yes, Mahesh Babu is all set to do Aamir Khan role in Shankars remake of 3 Idiots in Telugu to be produced by Gemini Film Circuit. Shankar is currently finishing his mega budget dream project Robot with South Indias superstar Rajnikant. Robot will be hitting the screens in September 1st week. So Shankar will begin this remake from this year-end and Mahesh Babu will also be free by that time.
Though it has not officially been confirmed, sources told us that Mahesh Babu has Okayed the proposal made by Gemini Film Circuit. In the Tamil version, Vijay will be doing the same role. Madhavan will do his character that he did in the Hindi version. More details are awaited.
