Akkineni heroes seemingly very content with the success of
Ye Maaya Chesave. As the film turned out to be big hit and bringing first success to Naga Chaitanya, naturally Akkineni family members are in celebration mode. Probably that is why Legendary Akkineni Nageshwara, Nagarjuna and Sumanth had participated in the film’s success meet held at Prasad Labs on Monday night (Feb 08, 2010).
Producers Manjula and Swarup thanked Nagarjuna for letting his son to act in their banner for his very second film.
“I promised Akkineni gaaru that we would deliver a prema kavyam with this film. And he looks very happy. So is my father, as he is enjoying the success more than us. When I narrated this story before we started the film, he predicted it would be a big hit. Naga Chaitanya will become a big star and we are happy to find such an endearing star. We feel like him having our in-house star,” Manjula said.
Akkineni congratulated the producers and appreciated their guts. “This kind of love stories need guts to take up, I am glad that they have kept the promise that they made to me. When I saw my grandson’s first film,
Josh, I thought he has ‘it’ to make a good actor, now I am confident about his future. I appreciate Samantha for delivering good performance as her character is very complex role,” he lauded.
Nagarjuna thanked the producers for giving such a good film to his son. “I sincerely thank all the technicians who worked hard for this film. It would have been good if all the cast and crew members attended this success celebrations. Any how, I am glad that
Ye Maaya Chesave is being appreciated by everyone. When it hit the screens, I was shooting in Kulu Manali, but my phone didn’t stop ringing with congratulatory calls pouring in. I like my son’s performance, that is quite natural being a father, but I really love to see this film for three more times for this beautiful girl sitting here (Samantha). She is the heart of the film,” Nag said.
Sumanth said everyone is comparing this film with
Geetanjali and he revealed that Chaitanya indeed was born when
Geetanjali was officially announced.
Naga Chaitanya thanked everyone who worked for the film and said he would do more and more such good films in future. “I saw the film in Chennai, four days before the release and felt sense of joy and fear at the same time. I was really tensed to know the result but soon after the first show on the release day, it became clear that everyone has fallen in love with the movie,” he said.
Samantha said she is happy to make debut with this film.
Directors Srinu Vytla and Surender Reddy and other crew members attended the function.
