Adhurs is winner!
Jan 18, 2010 - 8:07:10 AM

Despite average reviews and not a great mouth talk, NTR's Adhurs is drawing huge crowds. Among four Sankranthi releases, Adhurs is ahead in terms of collections and is all set to be another major hit in NTR's kitty. It is too early predict about its overall collections, but NTR can happily celebrate its success. But in Nizam area, it suffered as it was not released in some areas and in some districts like Warangal, it released in limited theatres in the first week.

The film is strong primarily in Andhra and Ceded, thanks to various reasons like sympathy wave, NTR's comedy in the film, etc.

Whatever be the reason, the film's success gives a boost to NTR's confidence as he is now simultaneously shooting for two films at a time - Brindavanam and Shakti and both these films would benefit in terms of pre-business.

The film also expelled the myths that NTR cannot deliver a hit in January/Sankranthi season as his track record is bad with Naga, Naa Alludu and Andhrawala flopped big time when they released in January. Now with Adhurs he also became Sankranthi star like other major big heroes in Tollywood.

Namo and Shambo are on right track

Venkatesh's family entertainer Namo Venkatesha is also doing pretty good business. It is placed at second place at Box-office. Ravi Teja's Shambo Shiva Shambo was late starter but finally is picking up now. Om Shanti is complete washout.
