Megastar Chiranjeevi was No.1 hero till now. He wanted to be the same in Andhra Pradesh politics and wanted to create new records as politician too. Yes, he set the record but on a different note - he and his Prajarajyam Party lost in big way. While he himself lost on his home turf, his party is restricted to mere 20 seats while ruling Congress government comfortably won the seats to form the government. The biggest shock, of course, is his defeat in Palakollu Assembly constituency. He belongs to the same area and he was confident that he would win here with by huge majority but in reality he lost the seat to Ms.Usha Rani of Congress Party. His ‘brother-in-law’ Allu Aravind also lost in Anakapally Parliament Constituency.
He could become neither ‘King’ nor ‘kingmaker’ contrary to the pre-poll expectations. His party’s 20 seats would not make any difference to the government.
Chiranjeevi’s could not even performed well in Godavari districts - his ‘so-called’ bastion with both TDP and Congress grabbing majority seats there. It is mega flop for Chiru.
