Tollywood filmmakers have learnt a great and costly lesson in 2007. All the producers who made rush to Chennai, Cochin and Bangalore to grab the remake rights of the blockbusters in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada respectively had burnt hands. Look at the fate of the movies that were remade from other languages.
None of the remakes in 2007 had a good run at Box-office except Evadaithey Nakenti. Even then the film was not entirely remake, it was complete different film from its original - Lion (Malayalam). Rest of the Nine biggies that were remade had same result - flop.

Not only that these films flopped, they also put some of these directors and actors in a miserable situation.
Till, Yogi happened, Vinayak was considered hotshot director. With its miserable flop, his fortunes have changed. He needs to resurrect his image with another blockbuster. Director K Vijaya Bhaskar's reputation further slipped with Classmates. Critics said he could not make movies without the support of writer Trivikram. Vijaya Bhaskar has to prove himself with his next film.
Megastar Chiranjeevi could not do the magic as Shankardada. It was another flop in his kitty. Nitin and Tarun put all their hopes on Nava Vasantham and Takkari respectively but their dreams dashed with the cold response to those movies.
Interestingly, another appreciable trend in 2007 is that Telugu audiences have rejected mindless Tamil dubbed movies. Except superstar Rajnikant's much-hyped Shivaji, none of them made any impact at B.O.
Hope our film producers learn from these lessons. Anyhow, audiences rejecting the dubbed movies and poor remakes augurs well for our Telugu film industry.
