NTR as Lord Yama in Yamadonga

NTR is back with a bang. The highly successful combination of NTR and director S S Rajamouli does the magic once again at Box-office with Yamadonga. Despite the divided talk, the film took the box-office by storm in the first week. The opening collections for first week prove that Yamadonga almost set new record in openings for Telugu films. The first week collections (share) are about Rs 13 Crores (excluding Overseas, Karnataka and other areas).

In some areas, the film became all time biggest grocer in the first week and in some areas it almost reached to the place.

In Ceded, Yamadonga broke all records and stood at No.1. In Guntur too, NTR has shown his popularity. In Nizam, NTR's popularity rose with this film. Only in Godavari districts that Yamadonga could not make big impact.

According to trade circle, the first film collections in area wise go like these..

Note: The following collection figures pertain to only Andhra Pradesh.

Area  Collections (share) in first week
Nizam  Rs 4.60 Crores (Best ever for an NTR film and second best in all time highest openings)
Ceded  Rs 2.75 Crores (All time highest)
Guntur   Rs 1,32,05,247.
Krishna  Rs  92,39,827
Vizag   Rs 140 lakhs
Nellore    Rs 58,00,875
East Godavari   Rs 70 lakhs
West Godavari  Rs 79 ,66,571

Tirupathi    22,50,000 Rayalaseema Record
Ananthapur   21,15,000 Dist Record
Cuddapah     20,20,581 Dist Record
Kurnool      20,06,550 Dist Record

(Note: The figures are rounded and these are shares)

End Note:

If this trend follows, Yamadonga might be another blockbuster in Rajamouli and NTR’s career. In Ceded, the film will bring profits to the buyers by the third week itself if the trend continues. As of now, it looks like a big blockbuster.
