Sequel to 'Gayam' to take off soon

Jagapathi Babu is now more inclined to action dramas. Putting his ‘family hero’ image into the bin, he pursues action thrillers and begins sequel for his Gayam which is considered as best movie in his career. The film was directed by Ram Gopal Varma with Manirathnam’s screenplay. It gave him the first major first break. A decade and half later, Jagapathi Babu now plans a sequel to it sans the maverick directors.
A newcomer Praveen is wielding the megaphone for this Gayam 2. It might commence shooting from November. Efforts are to rope in a big Bollywood heroine to play the role that was originally played Urmila.
