his acting was superb in padamati sandhya ragam..he could have been maro
sutti veerabhdara rao for telugu cinema(one must remember that sutti
veerbhadra rao dubbed his voice in padmati sandhya.... nad it suited him

For padamati sandhya raagam they have taken lot of pains during the making
of that movie. I saw that movie in sudharshan 70mm when it was released.
may his soul rest his peace.

RIP! I met Sastry garu during his preparations for AAII. A great soul whose
sense of humor was intact despite his age. My deepest condolences to Durga
garu and other family members and friends. And thanks "Telugu Cinema" for
this write up - the only telugu movie site which had the decency of
remembering a non celebrity movie personality like Sastry garu.

I had the opportunity of meeting Sastry garu in June 2008. His Padamati
Sandhya Ragam will go as one of the best classics of telugu film history.
My condolences to the family and RIP.

There is an Error in the Article. His full name is Gummaluri Narasimha
Sastry. Gummaluri Satyanarayana is the name of his legendary father who
also happens to be very successful artist and a writer (He recieved Indian
Govt National Award from the president for his Godavari-Kinnera dance
Bale).
