Close on the heels of Bhumika, another actress is turning producer. Kalyani who acted in several films like Kabaddi Kabbadi and Raksha has also ventured into film production. She is producing her maiden film in Tamil with her husband Surya Kiran handling the direction. Surya Kiran made debut as director in Telugu with Sumanth starrer Sathyam which was a big hit. Later flops followed and he was forced to shift to other filmdoms. Now he is trying his luck in Tamil film industry while his wife produces it.
The Tamil film is titled Adhyayam 6 (means Chapter 6) and stars newcomers. Says Surya Kiran: “It is titled Adhyayam 6 because the screenplay is structured with six chapters. Each chapter would have a colour symbolizing the mood of the story.”
He also plans to dub into Telugu after seeing the response in Tamil.
