Box-Office: Kathanayakudu's dull start!

Rajnikant’s much-hyped bilingual Kathanayakudu has failed to make an impact at the box-office as Shivaji did last year. Rajnikant’s was only guest role in the Kathanayakudu but it was marketed as ‘Rajni's film’. There is hardly any frenzy and hungama at the theatres of Kathanayakudu whereas Shivaji had witnessed 'houseful' boards at most of the centres for weeks.
Trade hopes that Kathanayakudu might pick up in the later weeks as P Vasu's Chandramukhi did few years ago. Chandramukhi was considered flop in the first week but it went on to become big hit after three weeks.
Producer Ashwini Dutt believes that Kathanayakudu will pick up in later weeks. But analysts feels it might end up just an average grocer.
