Rajni’s Robot is 'ROBO' in Telugu

Earlier there were reports that Tamil superstar Rajnikant and director Shankar’s magnum opus, Robot, has changed its title to Yantram. But they proved to be wrong. The title change is applicable to only Tamil, it seems. In Telugu, the movie is titled ROBO (in Telugu Letters) only. The film’s shooting has commenced today (Monday, September 08, 2008). Aiyangaran International and Eros International are jointly producing it in Telugu too.

Rajnikant and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are acting as romantic pair.

Chinese martial arts choreographer and film director, Yuen Woo-ping, has roped in to compose action stunts. This is his first Indian movie. He is renowned for his great work in films like Fist of Legend (1994), The Matrix (1999), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) and Matrix series, Kill Bill etc.

Stan Winston Studio which gave graphics for Jurassic Park, Artificial Intelligence, Indiana Jones is providing technical assistance.
