Hyderabad based animation studio Shaft is entering into film production. The studio has launched its new production unit VFX Production House at Ameerpet in Hyderabad on the eve of the organization’s first anniversary. Nikhil of Yuvata fame inaugurated the production unit while Gemini Kiran inaugurated the film editing division.

Ms Pushpa Reddy, Managing director of the studio, said that they are planning to venture into producing films in future but now have begun special wing for postproduction of films. She also said that the studio is offering multimedia and animation courses that are recognized by  Board of Intermediate in Andhra Pradesh and degree courses are supported by Annamalai University.
