"I am too young to take decisions"...
too young for what? lol
She is definitely in her late teens or even early 20s and talks like a 5
year old
She is not a drop dead gorgeous type of beauty, but I think she will be a
hit......Some one like Jyothika who was very successful (in tamil)

Good points @Average Heroine. Interesting analysis.
But one thing you are forgetting is Karthika is not just any face. She is
carrying extra weightage (being Radha's daughter has its own USP).
I am pretty sure Nag and team picked her because she brings in that extra
curiosity in the audiences. Even Balayya admitted in the audio function
that he was shocked to hear that Karthika is Radha's daughter. So that will
really help the family/lady crowds.
I dont think they picked her because she is an average face and wanted to
make sure Chaitanya not get dominated ...

If they picked her for average face, then what kind of averages faces are
being thrown at the telugu audience by the sons of superstars? Ramcharan
needed a facelift(still needs one), Nagachaithanya can do with some jaw
work, NTR.jr already had his share of operations though the results are
nothing to rave about, none of the other Nandamuris are anything to talk
about overall and Allu Arjun; I think audience prefer to look at his body
than his face.
How is that for a roundup?:-) Karthika or the girl from Parugu are no
worse than the heros they had to act opposite. And for sure, there is more
publicity to the film with Karthika's background. Let the film come out
and we will see. Even Kajol Devgan was considered an ugly-duckling. She
gave a few hits and went on to be considered numero uno for a while. That
is fate. With heros or heroines, only success matters. Not even talent
matters. Nagarjuna alone is a testament to that. Surviving 25 years with
below minimum talents is no mean job...and to beat, all the young heros
today come from filmi and political backgrounds. If the film is half good,
it will run on hype.

annamayya acting is not a minimum talent buddy.... c the climax...
aripinchadu... ninne pelladutha laanti oka romantic feel scene im damn sure
no one can do it including his son... hello brother lo unde comedy timing
seriously even venki kuda cheyaledu...suit avvadu... im not de grading
venki or any other heroes... venki sentiment no one can... chiru dance...
balayya dialogues.... nag's performance is high lights for them personally
and for industry too...
its easy for star kids to enter but tough to maintain that...coz they only
have more pressure from their family back ground and audience
expectation...

Nagarjuna cant act for his life (atleast in the beginning of his career). I
know fans cant take this fact in a sportive way, but thats a fact.
He has definitely become better and better by every movie. His first movie
is hilarious not because it was a funny movie, but being a scion of one of
the legends of Indian cinema, his acting came out as a shock to many in
those days.
But Nagarjuna gets and deserves credit for one thing. His backing of
technicians, new ones and also trying all genres of movies, which no other
hero did. His acting skills were never talked about. I mean if fans talk
about Annamayya or comedy timing in Hello brother, its because we got used
to his style. Not that he is now a complete slob at acting , but he was at
one point, now he is a little better, but even now, he is ok not great.
K Vishwanath has not done a single movie with Nag, its a testimony to this.
Good actors Kamal, Chiru, Venky always found a way into the masters films.

slots.
this is the verdict.

Vardhana,
Radha is a Malayalee. There is no surprise that Karthika did not know
Telugu to begin with.
@Killer
Take Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu, Hello Brother, Ninne Pelladathu. All these
films would have been hits or raved about. Especially, Annamayya and Sri
Ramadasu, handled by a top star(not actor), would generate the kind of
publicity they did. Just think, how these roles would be handled by an star
who can act. And Venky is no weakling to Nag. Hello Brother had an
excellent comical screenplay, which would have been done well by actors
like Chiru/Venky. I mean, Nuvvu Naaku Nachavu is still remembered for its
comical timing by Venky. Though Nag is considered handsomer for his hits
like Geethanjali, which gave a romantic image, I think Venky stands out
more in all departments. Especially, in the early days of their career.
Minus dressing sense:-)
Why am I referring to Nag's acting? Because I have been going through some
old telugu films, and it just baffles me that such a weak actor is praised
for acting, about being ANR's acting heir, when mostly he keeps a stone
face:-) I just watched Hello Brother again few days back. In spite of
Nag's monotonous tones, the dialogues bring a smile. Hats off to dubbing
artists like Saritha, who truly stood out and made a difference to the
scenes. Hilarious work by Saritha.
I guess 25 years have allowed him to have the bare minimum. Frankly, when
he started of, it was lineage which kept him alive from what I see of his
talents. Again, I watched Majnu last weekend. Nice songs, nice dialogues.
A punjabi lass like Rajani, who probably didn't speak much Telugu at the
time, eclipsed Nagarjuna in acting(confrontation midway stood out, though
throughout, Rajani dominated) or dancing(I started laughing during Gaali
Debba song, wondering how Rajani could dance with a straight face next to
someone messing up the moves that badly).
For all that, Rajani too was relatively new at that time.
When you are a star son or daughter, it doesn't take talent to survive in
Tollywood. Of course, we don't get star daughters from Telugu actors:-)
So star sons like need no talent. They will come up with a film every one
year, which will make them durable, charge more than they are worth, and
keep their family name alive in the industry, regardless of bottling up
possible fresh actors out their who could be great.
Karthika needs constant success, regardless of her looks. Chaitanya
doesn't... he can give one hit and survive many years on that. I mean,
look at his cousin Sumanth or Nag.
I don't want to pick on Nag alone. Chiru did the same thing after all
these years. As far as film industry is concerned, having a son get into
films means keeping the limelight, making the big bugs, and having the
influences. Star sons are not bad always. Krishna is not an impressive
actor. Maheshbabu, if only he would concentrate on his career, would stand
out as the best actor of Telugu cinema. Today, he certainly is the most
capable in doing a variety. His range is amazing, especially for an actor
who was rubbished for his chocolate boy looks for long. Pokiri was an
unexpected change. And it ran as much for Mahesh's charisma and acting and
dialogue delivery, if it did for anything else. I had watched the Tamil
version of the film. It made me realize how wonderful an actor Mahesh is!
As I had pointed out, TC had gone nearly into yellow journalism by praising
Nag's acting and had attributed the success of Shiva and Geethanjali to
him. If there are two films in Nag's career that had little to do with him
being a point of measure for the success they had, it would be Shiva and
Geethanjali.

I guess these new comers are much much better than their yeteryears and if
you observe in all these movies one after another release they are trying
to be bold and set their tone to a level of standards..ofcourse the
technicalities of movie making are also helping them..Take the case of
Magadheera, hardly Ram Charan has a dialogue more than 2 mins in the whole
span of the movie but his action gained 5 stars which is again garnered by
the directors aesthetic views on what he wants to achieve...and Ram's effor
to achieve that toneof action
In one way kudos to nagarjuna...in his 25 years of cinema life he still
maintains as man of the ladies..young and happening even though he does not
have that many blockbusters under his belt when compared to his
counterparts. I still remember when his movie Super released, girls were
going crazy just for his looks and even though movie did not ring the bells
at box office he was building a set of audiences on the go
I had the opportunity to watch exclusive Josh clippings and the pair did
really good eventhough it's their first movie in telugu (not for krithika
as she acted in few movies in tamil)
Chaitu is fully charged and flamboyant in this movie and you can feel the
JOsh in his action and he seems to be much better than his Dad's first
movie and when compared to new clad heroes first movies, he is much ahead
of the curve in dialogue delivery and looks like he is also a risk taker
like his dad..in his first movie he dared to deliver dialogues that are 3
to 4 mins continuous span and he did it with much aura and freeness.
Krithika seems to be extraordinary in this film as far as action goes but i
agree with the looks and there is no comparison with her mother.
On the whole when you watch JOSH movie you don't feel that this is their
first movie and you can feel the Josh till the end of the movie. Second
half gets much interesting with a strong punch line..Enjoy watching JOSH
