One of the very few heroes with clear diction when rendering dialogues. His
acting skills are pretty decent as well. I personally feel he should come
out of the denial that he could be the lead actor (Hero, as we choose to
call) and can pull audience on his own. His last successful run with Satyam
was due to the movie itself and not because of him. If he is truly
passionate about acting, he should start considering character roles
regardless of the screen time but purely based on role's might itself.
There is a clear vacuum in our industry in that area that unfortunately
requires imports from Tamil and Hindi cinema.

"Well, I dont come to film functions or any thing because I believe that
stars should not expose frequently."
Hahaha!! This is a good joke. So, Sumanth is considering himself to be a
STAR!?!?!?

@Spalshrain,
None of the descendants of filmy families want to be actors. They want to
be heroes/stars.
Actors are born and stars are made. Birth is not their choice so they opt
for the later.
I don't know if I can agree with your view point that Sumanth's acting
skills are decent.
It is anybody's guess where he would have been if he doesn't belong to
Akkineni family.

I totally agree with splashrain's comments about Sumanth's diction and
command over the language. His acting is very natural and the way speaks
telugu is almost spotless. He is not reckoned as a star because he doesn't
bash 100 guys at a time not to mention the beaten to death dances and
songs.
Lastly in my opinion, he may not look as handsome as Nagarjuna, but is
defintely a better actor and emoter than him.

Critic was right. There are no actors in either Akkineni or Nandamuri or
Konidela family after the first generation heroes. Rest of them are all
stars.
I always wondered in particular how Nagarjuna shot in to such a fame. He
might be handsome to some extent but he was/is a hopeless "actor". His
diction, dialogue delivery and voice modulation are horrible.

I agree with Critic and Ram on their points: if Sumanth was not born in
that family he would have been one of those thousands of strugglers, and,
that Nagarjuna has been plain lucky to have come thus far, respectively.
Again a personal opinion - 'Manmadhudu' was the first movie where I could
appreciate his efforts. May be the role was picture perfect for him. He was
unleashed relentlessly on us until he started to have successful runs.
Then, it was an easy climb for him. Ram was right that second generation
from these families leave us with lot to desire from them. Though, I
believe it is a hopeless situation.
Sad part of the story is our film industry is becoming a family mafia.
Wonder when the true talent would get its due. It might be a wait for
another generation for us to see someone emerge on his own might like
Chiranjeevi.
