| Manoj in Prayanam |
Sri: I heard that you are doing film with the veteran director K. Raghavendra Rao gaaru?
Manoj: Yes, but that'll be after two projects. My immediate project will be with Veeru Potla starting the first week of June, and Gamyam Krish's film follows from the end of June. After completing these two, I have the others lined up with Raghavendra Rao gaaru, Krissnavamsi, Raja, etc. Working with Raghavendra Rao gaaru would be a great learning experience for a budding artist like me. We can learn a lot through his films. It is privilege to work with a thespian like him.
Sri: All major films abroad include a special disc with "Behind the Scenes" features such as the making, interviews of those celebrities involved in the film, etc. and I think it's a good idea too! Why don't our film-makers show interest in shooting and promoting the making of a film?
Manoj: The concept is indeed good and we would surely think about it. We'll plan to do something on those lines for the film I'd do with Raja starting December.
Sri: Tell me about Vedam by Krish.
Manoj: Krish told me me before but I said I'd join in for detailed discussions starting the end of June when I join the film's crew. I am sure it'd be a trendsetter.
Sri: So, do you think the stars system in Tollywood will change with this film?
Manoj: We are only trying now, and we cannot tell anything for sure right now, but I hope it'd change as movies now have a global reach.
Sri: With four people from your household in the films, how do you plan to be a part of the revolutionary change?
Manoj: Please wait for two more years and you'll see how we are going to bring in some changes. We are already working on it now.
By this time, it was already past 2:30 a.m. IST and I felt I should end the interview so that he can catch some sleep. I wished him all the best for his distinct Prayanam (journey) through Tollywood.
