looks like this interview was done to show off the talent of Sri Atluri
more than Senthil. It is funny how he has so many questions which start
with "I heard that...". I have a piece of Advice for you Sri. We, as an
audience, really don't care about how much "inside" info you have about the
film world. You are just running an ordinary Web Site, that's all. You are
not a Ramoji rao or a Murali Mohan or some business magnates running a
business empire. Tokkalo website ki inta build up avasarama..?

Its really unfair to comment on the interviewers knowledge of things.
Sometimes its not the person being interviewed that makes things
interesting, its the guy who can ask good questions..a good interview
always depends on the guy holding the microphone. Its not the greatest
interview ever, but its not the worst ever also...give the guy some
credit.
Would you have enjoyed the interview if some one like you or me did
it...asking stupid and uninteresting questions like
when are you planning kids?
how did you meet your wife?
how much length of reel did you use?

@SriDabba,
Looks like you are not in a great mood today. If Sri was a business
magnate, the last thing he would be doing was interviewing people. What are
your credentials to question this guy or his website?
I have a solution for this problem of yours. Never come back
This interview looks perfect to me Sri and Nachaki.Keep it up

that sridabba guy is surely either from Great Andhra or Idlebrain - they
really suck in taking interviews, one of the stupid questions I feel is
asking how much reel did you expose? That does not make any sense to me?
Unless you are a pro and understand how it works? Idlebrain keeps asking
every tom dick and harry - not sure if Jeevi is planning to start a reel
business after this.
But, honestly, this site is my top of the list due to its interviews and
its detail of the interview questions.

@ ramba,
That question shows many explicit answers about the talent of a
cinematographer. Idlebrain's exclusive interviews standout as the best on
websites. Of course, I am no fan of the chitchat ones, which is basically
a write-up from a common press interview given to all medias by cine
people. There is a reason why people still hold idlebrain as a yardstick
and reliable source. GV has maintained real news and reduced rubbish items
for most part. And no, I am not part of any website.
Interviews are hard, and no one really has taken an interest that can
satisfy everyone.
If there is anything I learned from this one, it is that Senthil was backed
by a pretty good team of technicians.
Regardless, cinema technology, the invention and use, is for Hollywood to
create, and all the 'Indian'woods to copy. Especially, camera work. There
may be the physical work, but the creativity and technology was already
proven by some other.

Talent equals: Pre-set homework, ability to economize resources, ability to
gauge necessities of cinematography, etc.
There are those that will shoot unnecessary 500 stills to choose 5 stills.
There are those that will take 5 stills and bring the best within those.
The answer to innate talent is in there in the action itself.

how much reel did Senthill expose for magadeera?
@ksk

It's not really implicit that a cinematographer's talent can be seen in the
number of feet of exposed celluloid. A director might want to shoot an
average of three takes per take, which can increase the exposure three
times. An artiste might eat up takes like cakes, taking up the exposure
length.
Like ramba said, unless you know how many feet of exposed film is how many
screen minutes, and how many scenes were in the screenplay and broken into
how many takes on an average, and how much was cut at the editing table,
the exposure length is nothing but a statistic.
I like TC's interviews more than anything else, but my answer has nothing
to do with it.

I always like TC.com interviews. Awesome work. Keep it up.
Interviewer knowledge of industry and people real bring in interesting
questions.
"I heard that Nandi (Rajamouli) started going around with the tape to
measure the length and shot dimensions and used to note them in the note
pad."
yes that was a great point, in his reply
"...Rajamouli finally got a laser tape from the USA to measure distances
accurately while saving a lot of time too! "
What a great insight you are getting if you are an aspiring cameraman or
just a techie guy who wants to know more details.
Good job Sri.

sorry i dont agree with comments of sridabba. it takes a lot to know lot
of inside info & technical stuff. sri did a real good job.
some people just blast the reviews for the sake of it.whats wrong in
asking technical questions?it is good to see both the people on either side
of the interview to be on same page.
awesome work tc.com .keep it up.

it is sad that the comments are not on the interview but on the person who
took the interview, it looks like more of which site is good. the interview
is very good.

Right on dabba.
for all we know, chakri is another of the lungi fellows. a little humility
would go a long way buddy. Im sure you have a ton of those followers who
nod when you do, but in the larger scheme of things your website or
operations is a mild distraction in the lives that we live. All in all,
good job but like dabba said hility. A LOL at all the dudes pissing on
