no telugu muslims
08 Jun 2009, 04:22
telugu muslims don't have any future in telugu industry. its all dominated by a few caste sectors. (you all know what those castes are)

if at all you get to see any muslim in a prominent role in a telugu film, it must be an outside import. thats how we got the talented Nasser from kollywood. Now this guy has also stepped in.

08 Jun 2009, 12:37
That is not correct...(telugu muslims don't have any future in telugu industry.)
If you have talent then who can stop you.I agree that telugu Film industry is full of producer's,director's and hero's sons. But gone are those days where audience can watch any type of movie( remember we had lot of patence to bear Nagarjuna who never used to know acting or even talking telugu).
If this guy Shaam has real talent and take wise decisions he can be a hers too

ala yenduku anukovali Ali leda super range ki velladu full support echaru telugu ppl
Jaya
08 Jun 2009, 14:55
And why should we support these "Telugu Muslim". That itself is an oxymoron..how can you be Telugu and a Muslim.
I'm against casteism but I'm all for anti foreigners.
Muslims are by definitions descendants of Arabs, they are not our people, so why should we pay dollars to go watch them.
Already Indians have inferiority complex, should we then also just pay to watch white people in our movies? Where is the line?
Latha
08 Jun 2009, 16:55
Jaya you are stupid and a racist.
Telugu is a language not a religion. Your post is so ignorant that i cannot even comment on it. It is people like you who should go get some education and stop giving us telugu people a bad name.
Latha
08 Jun 2009, 19:51
*Telugu speaking people
Jaya
08 Jun 2009, 20:41
Lol.
Latha,
Its people like you that give Telugus a bad name, that bend over and take it by whomever gives it.
look @ Tamil people. They fought for the right to speak their own language and uphold their culture.
Our heroes can't even speak Telugu properly and here you are ignorantly saying bullshit that Telugus are not a people. In our own state our people want to separate because of idiots like you who don't recognize that we have to unite as a people because we ARE one people.Telugu is a language, a religion, a culture. Hinduism, Buddhism these are religions inherent upon our land and our people since the beggining of our time. Go to school and learn the history of our people before you start running your mouth.
please don't come back adn post till you learn something "Latha.
Wonder if you even know what that means.
Jaya
08 Jun 2009, 20:48
BTW,
Muslims and Christians overran our land and forced their religion upon us. They also raped and killed our people. Furthermore they looted and sacked our sacred temples.
So it is the duty of every Indian, not just Telugus to oppose these which destroy and separate us as a people.
If you want a dates and names and places of all these occurences, let me know. I can educate you.Or not, you seem pretty helpless as of now.
Latha

@ Jaya

What is your point? Telugu is not a cultureit is a language spoken in Andhra Pradesh. Our culture in Andhra Pradesh is based on people living there and that incorporates everyone who lives there. People who speak Telugu come from many regions in Andhra Pradesh. Every region in Andhra has different practices and even different customs. You are right on one thingthere is no cohesion or pride for the people in Andhra Pradesh, but do you ever wonder why? Its because of people like you that are constantly trying to make boundaries and segregate our own race. Since when did you own the state of Andhra to determine who is allowed and who isnt? If you feel so strongly, then you should never live or visit another country. After all, that would make you a foreigner right? And that is what you are against. Yes, our heroes cant speak Telugu properlywhy is that? People like you who go to their movies and support them that is why. Telugu speaking people still discriminate through caste and even region. People cant even speak one sentence in Telugu without using English words. I agree. If you look at Tamil speaking people, they speak their own language TAMIL and people uphold their culture. But, look at Rajnikanthhe is revered in Tamil Nadu, speaks fluent Tamil but guess what???? He is not a native of Tamil Nadu! He is a Maharashtrian! So, you think people over there should have rejected him? Do you know how much he does for the people of Tamilnadu? You are talking about unity but yet you are talking about segregation based on religion. Those so called foreigners were born in Andhra and have every right to consider themselves Andhrite and yet you want them out. You seriously have issuesyou are not a unifieryou are just a racist. What is worse than being a racist? It is people like you who are racist against their own race and even more racist against fellow Andhrites. Therefore, I disagree with you when you say that Andhra Pradesh should not be home to foreigners. There are people who came from all parts of the world who live in AP and speak Telugu and consider themselves a part of the state and dedicate themselves to preserving the language and culture of the state. If you are so educated shouldnt you have known that without Charles Philip Brown a lot of Telugu works would have been demolished because people who spoke Telugu during that time didnt care enough to preserve it

BTW, what do you mean pay dollars to see these actors? Do you even know what the currency of India is? It is a RUPEE not a DOLLAR. If you are angered by these foreigners why dont you stop watching Telugu movies considering the majority of the female heroines are not from Andhra or is that ok because they might be Hindu? You need to get your facts straight before you can even attempt to step into my world and try to educate me.

I pity ignorant people like you. Please dont reply back unless you have something relevant and smart to say. I am not going to waste my time replying to a low life racist like you anymore. Cheers! - Latha

stop fighting like kids.

The fact of the matter is that --

Language is just a mode of communication and in today's world it doesnt belong a particular state.

similarly, a state doesnt belong to a particular language.

Now, if you come to the ancient reality -- dont think that British invaded india. prior to them, muslims have invaded india.

But the most important thing is -- even before that the so called aryans invaded india and killed lots of dravidians to whom the entire india originally belonged.

we have no history of how or where the dravidians have come from --

so, the bottom line is -- the world itself is "no man's land".

The above person is right. I've never "won" an argument by fighting.
By the way its Rupai..not Rupee.I acutlaly meant to say money but dollars just came to mind.

So maybe you are ready to accept blonde haired people to lead you.
Though its been just 50 years since white man left our country we still are ruled by them.
C.P. Brown's dictionary:http://dsal.uchicago.edu/dictionaries/brown/
I use it often.
The devil comes in many forms. Bearing gifts and offering help but the real intent is hidden and that is his greatest strength. Christians come to our country under the guise of helping us, but they promote their own agendas. In an effort to alienate and to assimilate a part of the population which they can use for god knows what purpose. They say they want to preserve our culture but they have infiltrated almost all parts of the world under the same guise and have learnt all the languages of the world in such a way. That does not in any way make them "good". don't be so easily fooled by such people Latha-garu.
I appreciate your viewpoint but I am not in support of white people ruling or being the "superiors" of Telugus in anyway.

Call me racist, I prefer to call myself a proud person. By the way I like white girls mainly so I dont know how you can call me racist.
What am i racist against though?
I have no problem with other people in their state or foreigners in their own state and i appreicate those who come to our land to do whatever. I am saying lets be proud of being ourselves.
(Btw before i forget the "aryan invasion theory" was all bullshit propogated by Hitler who used Max's findings and changed them to benefit his political platform, read more in to that. To date there has not been any findings of any sort of invasion, the prevailing theory is that these so called "aryans" slowly assimilated into the Indians. I don't use the word Dravidian because Dravida is a Sanskrit word meaning Tamil.I am not Tamil and South India is not made up of Tamils.)
Don't fight with me you're right we both have nothing to achieve. You're not willing to listen to me and I only wish one day you can see other wise.

Mano is a Muslim too. But stop counting talent by categories! It's ridiculous to say there're less number of people from so and so group, unless someone proves one's point by showing people from that group that were oppressed - merely showing less number of people who came forward means nothing!

I agree with Jaya on one thing. Telugu speaking Muslims have a problem with their Telugu identity because of the influence of their Urdu speking brothers. Telugu speaking Muslims learn Urdu because it perceived to enhance their status within the Muslim community. Urdu speaking Muslims look down on the Telugu speaking Muslims and Telugu Muslims look up to Urdu Muslims. Telugu Muslims used to keep 'amma' and 'ayya' as suffix at the end of their names but now it is being replaced with suffix like 'bibi'. The fact is guys that Muslims divided India. In undivided India in 1946 before partition, an election was held. In that election there was only one
issue. Congress wanted undivided India. Muslim league demanded partition. In that election 92% of Muslims
throughout India supported Muslim League and partition. And the most ardent supporters of Pakistan movement were in what we today call India not Pakistan. Remember the Muslims in Telangana overwhelmingly DID NOT want to join India. That is why Hyderabad kingdom did NOT join India in 1947 and Nizam was building up his arsenal with help from Portugal. Hyderabad kingdom was 85% Hindu but the civil service was 85% Muslim and on the eve of the invasion in 1948, Telangana Muslims (Razakars) unleashed terror, killing 5000 Telugus and remember the Nizam of Hyderabad also called the Hindus dung worshipers because he could not stand the thought of Telugus ruling. Sorry to say it but it was we Telugu Hindus who built Hyderbad into Cyberbad not the Muslims who resented Telugu rule. The following quote is from a Muslim newspaper (the link is http://www.milligazette.com/Archives/2004/16-31Aug04-Print-Edition/16310820 0423.htm)
"some backward sections of Muslims like Qureshi and Naddaf (whose ancestral profession is carding of cotton) have already won reservation in government jobs and educational institutions.
SOME BACKWARD SECTONS OF MUSLIMS HAVE VIRTUALLY LOST MUSLIM IDENTITY AND ARE FULLY ABSORBED IN LOCAL TELUGU OR HINDU CULTURE. EVEN THEIR NAMES ARE ON THE PATTERN OF HINDU NAMES AND HAVE PREFIX AND SUFFIX LIKE ANNA (BROTHER), AKKA (SISTER), AMMA (MOTHER) AND APPA (FATHER). By their names they seem to be Hindus though they are Muslims. However, with the influence of the Tablighi Jamaat, they are now shunning their Hindu identity and changing their names. They are now adding Bi or Bibi to girls names and Shah to boys names and trying to learn Urdu and Quran." (END OF QUOTE)
OK. From the above quote it is clear that Muslims feel being Telugu is a Hindu thing. I am sorry this may hurt Latha's sentiments but it like I said I gave the link so you can check it out for yourself. I think Latha and most Telugus are unaware of how horrible life was for Telugu's living under Muslim rule. There was a fuedal system.
Late Kodati Narayana Rao, one of the stalwarts of the Andhra Mahasabha movement in Telangana, had written in his memoirs that there was not a single High School in the entire Nalgonda district (the district which contains Hyderabad) in his childhood and a College could only be seen at Hyderabad and nowhere else in Telangana, not even in Warangal. This compared quite unfavourably with Andhra districts where there were several High Schools in Krishna District itself. It was only towards the end of the Nizam Rule, a few years before the Police Action in 1948, that a High School was set up at Nalgonda. Contrast that with this quote from that same article I quoted from the Muslim newspaper. "Some sections of educationally and economically backward Muslims have already been given reservations and enjoy facilities like free technical education, books, concessional fees, free hostel accommodation and scholarships. They have been given reservation also in medical and engineering institutions. The new generation of these communities is receiving higher education, boys are reading English and Telugu for getting good jobs and girls reading Urdu. In short, they are trying to adopt modern way of life". (end quote)
My gosh. Please contrast how generous Telugu rule has been to them in contrast to their rule of us. The Nizam did not even allow libraries to exist in Telugu language. By contrst Andhra Pradesh has declared Urdu as a second official language. And A.P has declared that in areas where Muslim population is 15% government communication has to be done in Urdu as well as Telugu. On top of that YSR as given 4% reservations to Muslims in admissions and jobs. Potti Sri Ramulu would be sick about how we have been at the feet of Urdu community at the expense of Telugu. Tamilians would never do that. Telugu population in Tamil Nadu has been decimated over the last 75 years. Very few Telugu caste people can still speak Telugu in Tamil Nadu outside of Chennai. There use to be huge Telugu community all over Tamil Nadu. Periyar himself was a Telugu Balija. This is because Tamil Nadu did not give any other language recognition the way Andhra is doing for the ungrateful Urdu-speaking community. The Muslims in their hearts are taught to care more about Palestinians than the suffering of there fellow Hindu Indian. The head of MIM party in Hyderabad which represents Muslims visited Lebanon in 2006 war with Israel to look after the Muslim victims in Lebanon. Does anyone think this guy cares one bit about water shortage of his "fellow Andhrite". These people are loyal to the Ummah (world wide Muslim community) not to India or Andhra. Just look at the recent shooting by American-born Muslim U.S army captain in Fort Hood, Texas. He killed 13 of his fellow Americans because he was more loyal to his Muslim brothers in Afghanistan than his American compatriots. Thankfully India avoids recruiting Muslims into the army. Yes Abdul Kalams and Azim Premjis exist but they are part of that 5% who voted against partition.

waouuuu just one thing when u speak to someone ur not looking at the religion but at the person and if today u have so much hate with muslims u have a problem we can look far in history everyone at that time and every religion is responsible for something even today and for the seperation of india and pakistan both religions where responsible for it muslims and hindus. i never thought that the atmosphere in india was like that it's a little scary because look at the others countries indian arabs european and all others communities live together and u ... when i see what u people write ouahh

Ali is a famous Telugu comedian from Rajhumundry in Andhra...however his ancestors are from Kerala sometime back. The point is there is so much mixing of "races" and ethnicities as well as moving from state to state we do not know who is what anymore. Sure Muslim emporers mostly of Middle Eastern and Persian descent were the ones who first came to India and many Muslims in India are descended from these people. However equally many ethnic "original" Indians converted. All the ethnic groups of this country both native and foreign such as Arabs, Persians, British, Portuguese, etc.. having been intermixing and shifting places so long we don't know what are ethnic make-up is anymore. To answer the question of lack of Muslims in Tollywood it is simply because there are not enough in numbers. Majority of India's Muslims come from north and central India as well as Mumbai and so in Bollywood they are prevelent. In Andhra outside of Hyderabad there is not a significant presence. That too many of the Hyderabadi Muslims speak mostly Urdu and follow Hindi movies, in fact many Bollywood actors were orignially from Hyderabad such as Dia Mirza, Amjad Khan & Tabu just to name a few.
