Sri: Hearsay is that Srinu Vytla changes scenes on the sets!

Kona Venkat: He does, yes, but not without my knowledge! He discusses with me beforehand, and though he changes, he makes sure that the basic thread does not change and that it has a link to other scenes in the film.

Sri: Don't you think that a film needs to go to the sets with a bound script ?

Kona Venkat: Though everyone says that, not many follow that. Sometimes, we change the scene for betterment and with experienced artistes like Brahmanandam, etc. there will always be some last-minute changes because they always improvise their scene instantly with their comic timing.

Sri: Why did you opt for direction when you were a successful writer already?

Kona Venkat: Sometimes, you feel that you can express in a different way when you see the outcome on the screen. I thought in the same way too, and wanted to direct myself. That's how the Madhavan-Sada film titled Adi Oka Idile... started.
