Question: In Godavari Film, if you were to act in Godavari, would it be Sumant's Character or Kamal Kamaraju?

Hi, first of all I cannot act for nuts...really bad actor....but if you are talking about which character I like....I would say Ram....simply because he is ideal...

Subba Reddy / Raghu Mohan

What makes Happy Days different from your previous films and why do you think it will be successful? Which part of the story or essence that says to you to yes this is what I like and iI am going to work on the story to make a movie
?

It is a complete college film...four years of engineering experience..characters represent the student community...I really feell telugu films have grossly misrepresented the student community by and large ..so I know this will work ....

Vikas Ponnuru
How can I be your assistant ??

Send me your resume...take my mail id from SRI

After your first film, we heard that, if you were given a chance, you should have cast a BIG HERO instead of RAJA for the movie "Anand"  So we were wondering why do you want to direct a big hero who interfers with your creativity? Previously we had Jhandyala Garu who directed entertaining movies, so why not you take that path. We want you to make movies like Jhandyala Garu did. It seems that you are very few directors who doesn't go with the band. For example, one person makes Pokiri, the other 10 people makes Pokiri realted movies. So we appreciate your different approach. Also, we were also wondering when are you going to make a movie with RAJA again. We wish that you make more movies like Godavari that will keep us close to the Lost Love Stories
.

When I say I would like to work with stars I dont expect them to be stars in my movies...I see some stars fitting in my characters in Anand , Godavari....so I approach them...there is a significant advantages in making a movie with a star (higher production values...can take more time...etc..less pressure for release etc.).....as a maker any one would always want that advantage...but on the flip side the disadvantages...I still dont know cause i havent worked...With Raja...well if something comes up...

Arjun Reddy
Mana(I love all your movies) minority manchi cinema nu majority manchi cinema ga chesina prayatnamaa Happy Days?

Seriously...baaga chepparu....naa anni cinemalu ade prayathanalu...thanks naa maatalu gurthunchukunnaduku...actually artham chesukunnaduku...

bhaskar rao / Sandeep Rao
AT THE OUTSET I WOULD LIKE TO WISH YOUR "HAPPY DAYS" UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS WITH ALL MY HEART THOUGH YOU BROKE MY HEART ON THE VERY FIRST DAY OF THE SHOOTING.

FULLY BELIEVING IN YOUR SINCERITY IN SELECTING YOUR ACTORS ON MERIT I HAD RESPONDED TO YOUR WIDESPREAD CALL FOR ASPIRING ACTORS . JUST ONE DAY BEFORE YOUR SHOOTING I RECEIVED A CALL FROM YOUR OFFICE INFORMING ME OF MY SELECTION AND I WAS ASKED TO REPORT EARLY IN THE MORNING AT CBIT. FILLED WITH HAPPINESS I KEPT ASIDE MY EXAM PREPARATION , BOOKED A TAXI FOR THE WHOLE DAY AND REPORTED AT THE LOCATION . THE FIRST SHOCK WAS THAT NOBODY REALLY BOTHERED TO EXPLAIN WHY I WAS CALLED  LEAVE ALONE EVEN GUIDING . I WAS ASKED TO STAY BACK FOR THE DAY BUT WAS MADE TO BE JUST A PART OF THE CROWD. THIS HURT ME IMMENSELY AS I ALREADY HAVE GOOD CREDENTIALS AS AN ACTOR AND DANCER . OUR ENTIRE FAMILY ESPECIALLY MY FATHER ALWAYS EXPRESSED VERY HIGH REGARD FOR YOU AS WE OURSELVES BELIEVE IN THE OLD VALUES OF SINCERITY. THOUGH HURT OUR ENTIRE FAMILY WISHES YOU ALL THE BEST AND I STILL ENTERTAIN HOPES OF YOUR CALLING ME VERY SOON FOR YOUR NEXT FILM.

Sincerely apologies.......in a film we have lot of people working...and mistakes bound to happen and sometimes communication becomes an issue......sorry for that and good luck...hope somthing works out for you...through me or anywhich way..

Madhoo K, Sai jeedigunta

Mahesh Raju

Being a software professional , how comfortable were u when u entered film industry? people will always behave strange when people from contrast fields enter into film industry.

I never entered FILM industry in the sense that i never had to interact with stars..producers...or director when I made my firt film....ya...it was a challenge convincing my family and friends....but again I had a FILM degree so it worked...

Request.

You "have to" to make Godavari-part-II. My wife and I watched your movie, and that was our first movie together, and ever since I have watched it a million times you "Bloddy Fellow" (me being the black-dog), we love your movies!... I love Raji character (and million of my friends like her), the Girl is just sweet, and ofcourse Kamal Kamaraju style is excellent (he just imitated my Dad..just like all Government Officers.) so the next part should be with Raji and Kamal as main characters...

I dont think I will make a PART 2...its tooo overwhelming...and I dont think I can..

Ramesh babu
want to ask you only question regarding one song in Happydays i.e.
 Podduna legaali....snaanam cheyyali.....bus ekkali....college kellali....ika bus la kai waitingu...uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu....nice song.

Actually I just hummed them to the music director and he made a song with those words...

Do you have any plans or ideas to produce movies that you like because of the subject and introduce new directors or crew ? Do you think it is possible in telugu industry or for that matter to you to get big actors for your movie to act purely based on the subject and not their image ?

Yes I will if i come across good stories...yes it is possible to get Stars im my movies.....it took me seven years but it will happen....and that is the change we all should work for in the industry..

RAj kumar
What made you to change your carrer from S/w to Movies?

Just to show what I see...

Raghuveer
Movies come, movies go.
In your view how should be a movie that makes it to live forever

It should connect with audience emotionally...

I personally like both the movies Anand and Godavari a lot, the latter one being the best. But both the movies got some mixed reviews because of slow narration esp in the second half.
Happy Days, promising to be a Peppy kind of movie, have you taken care of this for this movie

You are right ..it a youthful peppy movie...but you have to tell me about the narration ....as i feel i'm tryin to make a movie to have my audience to sit through rather have them leave as quickly as possible.....

TO elaborate today telugu cinema is adopting a defensive strategy...that is making a movie assuming that the audience will leave...I make movies assuming the audience will watch... that is the reason we have movies with a comdey track, a fight, a song as a formula...i'm trying a little different way...lets se if it works...

Srinivas Naidu Gutta
Behind every successful man stands a woman. Who is that woman behind your success?
I would say my family....and to some extent my friends and my team

Phani Indukuri
I want to know how you develop a story for a film.I want to know how do you mold an idea into a script.thanks for the opportunity.
I really cant pin point...it just happens...may be its a talent or gods gift...I tried to reason also...but believe me its not that scientific it has to come from within...
Govinda Buddiga
Please make movie which portrays individualism, positive thinking, achievements, going against the middle class conventional wisdom and achieving what they want in life and at the same time playing their responsibilities in the family.

I will try if something like that come up..

Srinivas Kasturi
Do you like to use the services of a story doctor for your movies or provide such services to producers of other movies in future?

Yesterday i was watching a TV show on ZEE Telugu on your HAPPY DAYS movie. That was the show involving you ,your acting team of HAPPY DAYS with some teachers and students.
while briefing about the movie you mentioned that you are showing lecturers as a friend , guide and philosopher which i liked but you even told that u r telling it in a commercial way which bothered me alot.
I think telugu industry has only few directors who make movies with passion and for good cause. I think you are one of that kind.
By listening Commercial word from your mouth i felt that u might have compromised for including commercial elements in the movie.
My worry is you might also follow the path of the other commercial directors in the future if any of your movie fails. I dont want to happen this for a director like you.
So , I am mailing you. I am not mailing this for winning the prize as mentioned in Telugucinema.com . If you read this mail and understands my feelings . That will be BIG prize for me.

THanks alot......I always try my best to stick to certain values....I dont compromise...if I feel something is wrong and I if know that it will fetch me money or create a block buster....believe me I WOULD NOT MAKE THAT movie.....
