The last month of 2021 is going to be a cracker at the box office. Starting with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s movie, the theaters will start witnessing footfalls. The advance sales for ‘Akhanda’ are proof that the mass audiences are returning to the cinema halls.

December 2nd and 4th
Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati have teamed up again. ‘Akhanda’ is their third collaboration. Given their hit track record, fans and the mass audiences are betting high on this film. No wonder that the film’s advanced sales are on fire.
The trailers have clicked. Touted to be an action drama, ‘Akhanda’ has Balakrishna playing a dual role. The film releases tomorrow (December 2nd).
‘Skylab’ is another Telugu film that hits the theaters this weekend. Scheduled for December 4th release, ‘Skylab’ is a comedy-drama set in 1979. The film deals with the comic turn of events when a village people heart that a space station falling right on their village. Nithya Menon, Satya Dev, and Rahul Ramakrishna have played the lead roles.
December 10
The second week of December will see a flurry of new movies. They are Naga Shaurya’s ‘Lakshya’, Keerthy Suresh’s ‘Good Luck Sakhi’ and Shriya’s ‘Gamanam’. They all are released on the same day – December 10.
‘Lakshya’ is a sports drama. Naga Shaurya transformed to play the role of an archer. ‘Good Luck Sakhi’ is also a sports drama that talks about a Lambada girl. Renowned Bollywood director Nagesh Kukunoor has directed this film.
‘Gamanam’ is an anthology story revolving around Shriya Saran, Nitya Menen, Shiva Kandukuri, and Priyanka Jawalkar.Woman director Sujana Rao has directed the film with Maestro Ilayaraja providing the music.
December 16/17
The biggest movie of this month is Allu Arjun’s maiden pan-Indian project – ‘Pushpa The Rise’. Directed by Sukumar, the actioner has created huge hype around it. Touted to be a sure-shot blockbuster, ‘Pushpa The Rise’ is releasing in five languages simultaneously on 17th December.
This being director Sukumar’s immediate film after blockbuster ‘Rangashalam’ has generated huge expectations.
Hollywood biggie ‘Spiderman No Way Home’ is also releasing in Telugu, and it will hit the theaters a day before ‘Pushpa’.
December 24
Christmas will see the release of ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, Nani’s latest movie. Billed to be the most expensive film in Nani’s career, ‘Shyam Singha Roy is set in the backdrop of Kolkota. Directed by Rahul Sankritiyan, it has Sai Pallavi, Madonna Sebastian, and Krithi Shetty. The teaser has garnered a terrific response.
Kapil Dev’s biopic titled ‘83’ is also released on the same day. The film is being dubbed into Telugu as well.
