‘James Bond’ Sean Connery passes away

Sir Sean Connery, the original James Bond on the silver screen, is no more. He has died at the age of 90. He breathed his last today (October 31).

Sean Connery was the first actor to essay the role of agent 007. Considered as one of the greatest superstars of Hollywood, he played James Bond role in seven movies that include 

Dr.No (1962), From Russia with Love (1963), Goldfinger (1964), Thunderball (1965) You Only Live Twice (1967), and Diamonds are Forever (1971).

He also won an Oscar award as the Best Supporting Actor for his performance in ‘The Untouchables’ (1987).

Murder on the Orient Express (1974), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000) were some of his other prominent films. 

He was also voted as “Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999.
