The rights of the Malayalam blockbuster ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ was bought by a Telugu producer long back. The original choice was to remake it with Rana Daggubati and Nandamuri Balakrishna. But Balakrishna has turned down the project.
Then Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, and others were considered. Rana has been the consistent choice for other roles. Now, Pawan Kalyan has come on board as the main hero and his name was officially announced. Who will play step in? Will Rana be repeated?
If the film was intended for Rana, why did the makers not announce his name along with Pawan Kalyan?
Media reports have suggested that the script will be narrated to Rana now and then will announce his name. What is there to narrate to Rana again? He had already watched the original movie and had okayed the project already. Have they changed the Telugu version drastically after Pawan Kalyan has agreed to essay the main lead?
Our sources say the makers are also considering Kannada superstar Sudeep aka Kichcha Sudeepa for the Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake if Rana doesn’t want to take up.
