About debut
For many years, I worked as a computer developer in the United States. My father, Satyam, was a well-known co-director who worked with S S Rajamouli, Trivikram, and K. Raghavendra Rao. He died from COVID-19 a few years ago. It was his desire for me to become an actor. He thought I would be a good fit for the role of ‘Butta Bomma’. I met Trivikram and, at his recommendation, went in for an audition with Sithara Entertainment.
About role
I saw the original film, Kappela. ‘Butta Bomma’ is based on this. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have landed this role and to be playing such a fantastic character.
About Co-stars
Anika, one of the co-stars, is adorable. Because she does not speak Telugu fluently, I had to help her with her lines a little. Arjun Das’ voice has won him many fans, and he is now a well-known celebrity. He had a lot of experience in action films and gave me advice on set.
Any new offers?
I’m looking for roles in realistic films as an actor. I like movies that are both entertaining and convey an important message. Following the release of the Butta Bomma teaser, a number of new directors approached me with scripts. I’ll take a call after the release.
