Hindi cinema is looking towards at Telugu Cinema industry for new story ideas. Bollywood is now bagging remake rights of Telugu films paying a hefty amount and also handing over directorial reins to our young directors. With ‘Saaho’, Sujeeth is now hogging all the limelight. The one-film-old director Sujeeth is at the cusp of catapulting to huge stardom.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has already tasted huge success in Bollywood with ‘Kabir Singh’, which is a remake of his directorial debut ‘Arjun Reddy’. Sandeep Vanga’s next film is also a Bollywood project.

Recently, Bollywood’s leading producer Karan Johar bagged the remake rights of ‘Dear Comrade’ even before its release in Telugu. Even though the film didn’t set cash registers ringing, Karan Johar is going ahead to remake it. Filmmakers from the south have become most-wanted these days.

In the last few years, some director or the other from the south has been making films in Hindi but Rajamouli created mass hysteria with ‘Baahubali’. Now, many are making Pan-India films and are being successful. 'Jersey’ fame Gautam Tinnanuri will soon remake his Telugu sports drama in Hindi. Some have tried hard but have not become successful. Prakash Kovelamudi made the Kangana Starrer ‘Judgemental Hai Kya’ but the film bombed at the box-office. Krish made some noise in Bollywood but he is yet to gain big recognition there. However, he too is planning to make his next film in Hindi. ‘Ghazi’ fame Sankalp Reddy has two films signed up with a big production house.

Producers like Dil Raju are also making their way to the Hindi cinema. Senior producer Allu Aravind has joined hands with Bollywood companies to make ‘Ramayana’ on an epic scale with Rs 1500 Cr budget.

The trend has changed as our Telugu directors and stars are truly dominating Bollywood in a big way and are setting the box-office on fire. In the late '90s and early 2000s, it was Telugu filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who redefined the Bollywood movie making. After a long gap, the new-age Telugu filmmakers are in much demand.
