Vakkantham Vamsi's story ends as director!

Consider this. A story-writer who penned some of the most durable films in the last few years has delivered a dud for a hero who is known to have the cash registers ringing with even mediocre films like 'Sarrainodu'. We are talking about Vakkantham Vamsi. 'Kick', 'Race Gurram' and 'Temper' to an extent are some of the best entertainers that he has written.

When he turned the director with an Allu Arjun film, everyone thought Vamsi will be unstoppable.  But 'Naa Peru Surya', his maiden directorial venture has gone wrong.
With the film being a disaster (the losses are estimated to be about 40 percent), it's as if Vamsi is back to square one! This bad experience comes on the back of 'Touch Chesi Chudu', whose story was written by Vamsi. The Ravi Teja starrer was a dud.

In his recent interview, Vamsi said that he is not averse to writing stories for other directors. This is what producers might want. They may be OK with him as a story-writer but not as a director!
