Megastar Chiranjeevi went to watch Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika’ in a theater. He saw the film at Mahesh Babu owned multiplex AMB Cinemas in Hyderabad two days ago. He took his entire writers team of ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ to watch this film. He did watch it for a reason.

Parachuri Brothers, other young writers and technical crew of ‘Sye Raa’ saw the Kangana starrer. It is said that Chiranjeevi was impressed with some of the action set pieces of Kangana’s film. Chiru wanted to check how this period movie was shot, and to find out whether this film have any similarities with his ‘Sye Raa’. He was relieved to know that not much similarities between two movies except two sequences.

His ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ also narrates the similar story of a king who rebelled against British Raj. Chiranjeevi is playing the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who led rebellion against British’s East India company. He was later convicted, received the death penalty. On 22 February 1847, he was executed in Koilkuntla in front of a silent crowd of over 2000 people. On the other hand, ‘Manikarnika’ is about Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, the queen of Jhansi, who is the central figure of Indian Rebellion of 1857. An icon who first fought against the British.

‘Sye Raa’ is being directed by Surender Reddy. The film is produced by Ram Charan. For megastar Chiranjeevi, this is dream project.
