Director Harish Shankar slams cinematographer Chota K Naidu

Harish Shankar and Chota K Naidu

Director Harish Shankar and cinematographer Chota K Naidu have collaborated on a few movies, but their working relationship has recently deteriorated, with the latter regularly mocking the director in interviews. After remaining silent for months, Harish Shankar resorted to social media to deliver a letter against the cinematographer.

Harish Shankar has told Chota K Naidu to put an end to his useless diatribe against him immediately, or if he continues to poke at him, he will not spare him “on any day, any platform,” and has concluded that he is “waiting for it.”

In his letter, Harish Shankar stated that, despite requests from producer Dil Raju and others to fire Chota K Naidu from the movie, he refused due to his regard for the cinematographer.

“Even though working with you was hard, I learned from your vast experience. That’s why I respect you. But you have insulted me even when the interviewer did not bring up my name unnecessarily. I’ve remained silent throughout, but my supporters have questioned my self-respect. As a result, I’m here to ask for an end to this. Or I am ready to respond to you on any day, on any platform,” he continued.

They apparently had a falling out while filming “Ramayya Vasthavayya” (2013), starring NTR and Shruti Haasan, which ultimately bombed at the box office.

Harish Shankar is now filming “Mr. Bachchan” starring Ravi Teja, while Chota K Naidu is cranking the camera for Megastar Chiranjeevi’s “Vishwambhara”.
