Kichcha Sudeep, a super star in the Kannada film industry, has denied reports that he plans to join the BJP. He spoke with the press on Wednesday to elaborate on his position.
He declared that he would not be joining the party and would instead focus on campaigning for them.
There have been persistent rumors since yesterday that he will join the BJP and run in the next Karnataka assembly elections. He addressed the media while sitting next to Karnataka’s chief minister, Basavraj Bommai.
“I came to support Basavaraj Bommai, whom I lovingly refer to as “Mama.” I can always count on “Bommai Mama” to be there for me in a pinch. Thus, I will lend support for him in the upcoming elections,” Sudeep concluded.
Sudeep has appeared in Telugu films, including Rajamouli’s ‘Eega’.
