Last Friday, two content-rich films hit the theaters worldwide. Surprisingly, both movies took a terrific start. The performance of Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ didn’t come as a surprise for various. ‘Major’ won glowing reviews. The biopic carried high expectations since the trailer was released.
Expectedly, the biopic took in solid numbers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In the USA, the drama grossed nearly 800k dollars. In the USA, the film broke even.
Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vikram’ is a surprise hit. The film started on an average note at the ticket windows, but it picked up collections after reviews and word-of-mouth had been unanimously positive. The Telugu version of ‘Vikram’ was bought by producers for Rs 6 crore. The producers are looking at impressive profits. In North America, the film (Tamil+Telugu versions) crossed the $1.5 million mark and is heading towards $2million.
Meanwhile, “F3” has been reduced to the third position.
