May 2021 OTT attractions: Radhe, Thank You Brother to stream

With COVID-19 cases on the rise in the second wave, all films have postponed their release plans. For another month or two, we will not see any new movies hitting the screens. Now is the time to depend on OTT platforms for movie content as well as web drams. Here is the list of some important films and shows that are going to be streamed in May 2021.

Sulthan – Aha – May 02
This dubbed Telugu movie starring Karthi and Rashmika is a flop in theaters.

Thank You Brother – Aha – May 02
Direct OTT release. ‘Thank You, Brother’ starring Anasuya and Viraj Ashwin is a story of two strangers – a brat and a pregnant woman getting trapped in an elevator.

Laava Kaa Dhava – Netflix – May 5
Hindi Gameshow. Actor Jaaved Jaafferi brings his signature humor to this Hindi dubbing of the ‘The Floor Is Lava’.

Karnan – Amazon Prime – May 09
Tamil movie. Dhanush starrer ‘Karnan’ worked wonders at the Tamilnadu box office. The film also won impressive ratings from the critics. ‘Karnan’ makes an engaging watch on OTT space as well. Watch it.

Cinema Bandi – Netflix – May 14
An Indie film produced by Raj-DK, the popular director duo of Bollywood hits like ‘Stree’. This Telugu film is set in the backdrop of the Chittoor region that tells how an amateur film is made by villagers when they find a camera. Directed by Praveen Kandregula, the film seems to be the modern version of ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’.

Radhe – Zee Plex – May 13
This is the biggest release of May 2021. The Hindi movie is all set to release simultaneously in the theaters and Zee Plex, a pay-for-view app. Frankly, there will be no theaters running to screen this movie on 13th May in India. So, it will be a direct online release. Salman Khan and director Prabhudeva have teamed up again to deliver a mass action entertainer. ‘Seetimaar’ song from the Telugu film ‘DJ Duvvada Jagannadham’ was also remixed for this movie.

‘Radhe’ release will be keenly watched by all the trade pundits, producers, and directors in India.

Sardar Ka Grandson – Netflix – May 18
This Hindi movie starring Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh is also a direct OTT release. Rakul has been promoting online aggressively.

Toofaan (Hindi) – May 21 – Amazon Prime
It is an upcoming Hindi language sports drama film. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of a boxer in this film.
