At last, the makers of ‘Orey Bujjiga’ featuring Raj Tarun, Malavika Nair, and Hebah Patel have closed a deal with an OTT company for direct digital release. The film was originally slated for theatrical release in March this year but could not release due to lockdown.
The film has now been sold to “Aha”, a streaming company and it will stream on October 2nd skipping the theatrical window. Producer KK Radha Mohan made a good deal with the streaming company and a satellite channel.
Not only did Raj Tarun’s recent movies tank at the box-office, but openings were also poor. Given this fact, the makers should have released the film on OTT in May or June itself instead of waiting for this long.
Now, an impression has been developed among the people that a direct OTT release means a substandard movie.
