Radhe Shyam, a disaster in Hindi and other languages

Radhe Shyam

‘Radhe Shyam’ has completed the first-weekend run. The film had a pretty ordinary weekend in the Telugu states. But the love story turned out to be a huge dud in other languages.

Prabhas is considered a true Pan-India star. But his pan-India star image took a beating with this film. Thanks to lousy writer Radha Krishna Kumar and clueless UV Creations, Prabhas has lost his market with this film. ‘Radhe Shyam’ could not even take a respectable opening in Tamilnadu.

Prabhas proved his stardom in the North Indian market by raking in solid Rs 25 crore opening with ‘Saaho’ on the first day. But ‘Radhe Shyam’ has collected mere Rs 13 crore in the first weekend. It is heading to be a huge disaster.

The makers of ‘Radhe Shyam’ promoted the film in Hindi aggressively with the help of the T Series. The Hindi version had a different music track (songs were composed by Mithoon). It was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu differently. Still, the film took in such a massive low number.

It will end up a huge loss venture to the producers in Hindi.

The Malayalam and Kannada numbers are equally low. All in all, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is a declared flop in other languages in the first weekend itself.
